Btw, is there something you guys use to charge batteries while camping or such? I want to bring mine out with me, but hate for it to be done after one day.

I just take my charger. Plug it into the back. You can get accessory socket chargers but they can be slow.

I let one if the sellers for those wheels use my photos. But, if my UDR doesnt sell locally soon, it will be on Ebay. Lol

Truck bed plug with extension cord or power from my travel trailer. We run a pair of Hondas when primitive camping.

I use 12v chargers for the cheaper costs plus the lipos are always outside should they decide to blow. I’ve got a power wire ran near the tailgate of my truck and charge there.

I've had a Traxxas JATO 3.3 for about ten years, but it's been sitting in storage for the last five.
The car was a total blast, could pull wheelies in second gear. Insanely fast to be sure.

There is nothing wrong with it, just drifted away from the hobby and kept all the stuff in storage.

I'm asking $750 shipped. It's got over $1100 in total value with the upgrades and has been used 4 times. Never on asphalt.

Hey guys! I've got an xray T3 that has been sitting for a while. I'm looking to upgrade the electronics on it. I used to race it in competition 10 years ago, so I'm sure there's much better electronics now for comp. Haha.

    Can anyone recommend anything?

Well, the inevitable happened and I grenaded the idler gear in the tranny. fleaBay is fresh outta spares about 8 years ago and now I’m in a pickle. Apparently a few Associated trannies will fit but they’re hen’s teeth as well. The entire rig is also apparently a free hand drawn copy of a long out dated HPI rig. LOL. According to the interweb.

New plan is use a spare Thunder Tiger tranny I have that’s set up like an SCX10. Order some Exo Terra dog bone cups to mount to the outputs and will red till and use the Duratrax motor mount with a Wraith slipper and spur.

Got carried away while fixing the motor wires yesterday. I like the way it turned out though. Now to open front and rear diffs and get them cleaned out

I found a scrap of 5mm carbon fiber and make a base plate for the new tranny. Then cut some thick poly for support of the rear suspension. I apparently got my tranny holes off just towards the back that it shucks dogbones every time you let off the throttle. Theory is sound and I’ll try again soon. But after maybe 4-5 hours prepping and modding then to have a failure...not in the mood currently.

Speed was there though. And this tranny has all metal gears, too. So it’s imperative I get the dogbone spacing right.

    :wave::wave:

I've been out of RC for years (never really was in it officially) I used to have an old T-Maxx (nitro is a PITA) and finally want to get back in.
I've been watching youtube and reading on google and I think I want to get an Arrma Senton 3S 4x4 BLX, around $400 for everything once I get a charger and battery or two, do any of you guys have experience with the Arrma Senton Brushless?

I have a Kraton and have been looking at the Typhon 6s. Been really happy with the Arrma and think it’s a great value when compared to the Traxxas.

Still in the ‘Sippi? There’s a little shop on 49 just north of i10. I’d suggest whatever your local hobby shops pushes at first. Get into things and figure out exactly what you want then get it even if no local parts support exist.

Look into the brushed Traxxas rigs as well. Crawl and walk then get a brushless setup and run with it. Also, Losi has a few offerings in that price range. The Baja/Rock Rey as well as a few others.

I have zero first hand knowledge of any of these. LOL. So do your research. I’ve got crawlers and just a few ‘other’s.
