Well. I’ll go out on a limb and say it started life as an Axial Bomber. Then was hacked up some and then chassis rails were added down each side as well as the scx10.2 axles added. Only reason I see why is to be able to comply and compete in sanctioned crawling events. Class 2 I think it falls under. The chassis rails and wheel/tire size will define where it sits.

It also doesn’t have the Bomber tranny. Looks like the scx10.2 tranny possibly, judging by the gray spur gear cover.

I’m sure you would have a better guess than I. I was leaning slightly towards wraith due to the rear shocks, care to explain why you are thinking bomber?

Skid plate is bomber so are interior pieces. The chassis rails were built around the skid. The axles were swapped for narrower axles to fit through gates better. The shocks look like an amalgamation of different things. The Eco power servo is decent but not powerful. It's a fine RC for a beginner and may surprise me with it's performance. I have yet to see a cage truck under a body that wasn't too heavy. Lots there to make it your own

The bars running down the center of the front window area are the biggest indicator. The skid is next. The rear shocks are from the Bomber as well. Don't be discouraged by what we've said. It appears that it was a purpose built rig to comp with. It won't be the most capable compared to others you may run with because of that. It's narrower than a Bomber and more top heavy due to the lexan body and added chassis rails. But on a comp course it'll likely shine compared to other 'bought' rigs.

    This.

Also. Depending on how much you have tied up in this already and how much you like to tinker...tearing it down to it's individual bits to rebuild can be fun. It's almost therapeutic for me. You could get a set of proper SCX chassis rails and rebuild it as such. Lose the heavy cage and end up with a more capable rig. Several avenues to go down. I've got a spare set of axles and can't stop looking at these whenever I get on fleaBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-10-Scale...For-AXIAL-SCX10/143040140391?epid=15019760494

Yeah as far as my needs go right now this thing is meeting them, first thing I’ll swap out will he the rear shocks, I’m looking at the proline prostocks. And maybe someday a reefs servo.

All good info, and nothing to be discouraged over. I’m having lots of fun with it that’s for sure.

Look at Traxxas big bores, trx4 gts shocks, or dravtech. Reef is quiet and strong but slow, I will probably swap the one on my wraith back to hitec. Break it then upgrade

Depends on the event. Sorrca is a good place to start for events near me.

Brakeweight, I parted together a Bomber using one of those eBay chassis.. a lot of work needs to go into it, but can be rewarding. The flex on this thing with Hot /racing air shocks is unbelievable. I have not had a chance to field test it yet. A lot of the fun of the hobby is tinkering and making coming up with you own unique rig..

Btw, fitting the body and accessories to the TRX4 Sport. Waiting on some parts to finish it up, need to gear down for the Tracks.. trying to figure out paint... mild or wild..

    image.jpg

Clearance is insane.. ,but I think it may suffer from the tracks being so rigid.. not like a nice sticky tire..

Not (m)any scale Tacoma bodies out there. RC4WD has a lexan 4door 1st gen. I think there’s some 3d printer 2nd gen Tacos.
