I was into planes and helicopters for a little bit But you'd end up crashing them and needing to get them fixed. It turned into a money pit after a while so I never got back into it.

I think this was a phase for everyone. I was just not too committed since I was a broke teenager at the time and newspaper delivery wasn't bringing in enough funds. Now, i'm almost 40 and I can just make my own parts now in my CNC machine. lol

They are pricey machines. If you're just looking to make a piece or two I would highly have a machinist make you the product with your supplies gcodes.

I paid $100 for this about a month ago. Tore the motor apart and rebuilt it after a soak in denatured alcohol. Soaked the fuel tank in denatured alcohol too. Went through the transmission only needed a spur gear. Replaced fuel lines and glow plug. Added a new LiFe battery for the receiver I had in a box on the shelf. All total about 130 into a nitro truck....

Who picks white paint? Idk, but I wanted it done and it does make all the accessories "pop" nicely.

I thought about going with a pearl/metallic orange to match my Tacoma, but I was not a fan of the examples I could find online. The metallic qualities just don't seem to translate well to a scale body IMO - they start looking too much like a bass boat.

I think white looks odd on any of the rc trucks ive seen in real life not sure why that is the case but both of yalls looks fine on here. Maybe it was the execution of the others

White isn’t always white and unless you have a truly clear body, it picks up the tint making it bluish, for example.

I was going to add that contrast helps too. Painting entirely white and not outlining windows in black, or not adding some other details in black or a dark color does a white paint job no favors.
