    Bad two weeks

First the rear hex drive and wheel decided to part ways

I get it all back together and proceed to snap one of the front a-arms off in the first outing

I don't really want a Capra, but goddamn that paint job sets it off proper and is making me consider it.

Oh man, it’s a pretty sweet little rig. I’ve only driven it around the house but man it’s fun.

Right on man. I took a chance with the reefs 99 micro servo. Solid choice for the dig.

    Looks awesome! Snow already? Yikes.

so i redid my wiring, got it cleaned up. Removed all the decals, removed the light bar for now, still have extra panels unpainted. Installed some SCX10 white springs, actually physically taller that the traxxas springs, and a little softer. A couple things to note, the stock 14T pinion is too fast, I’m probably at least going to a 12 or 11t. Also you should check and shim the axle pinion on the outside where the driveshaft connects, I realized alot of driveline slack and could see the pinions walking in and out. Shimming helped a ton, and I’m sure less wear on the ring and pinion. My dig works in freewheel...only after i lock it first and come back, using the spectrum micro for now. Anyway, i ran it yesterday, its a blast, love it. May add some bend to the lower links too, idk.

Yeah we have quite a storm here at the moment. Lots of snow on the horizon apparently too. Going to try to keep my wiring as clean as that. Nicely done.

It took a few tries to get this far, its a pain to get all the stuff in there. Im sure brushless would be worse. I’m just trying to keep everything as LCG as possible.

Brushless is. Hahaha. This was the first shot. Also, I’d suggest using a reefs 99 for the dig servo.

I’m going to burn up this spectrum first, then definitely the reefs. What KV are you going to run? And what size pinion gear? Let me know how it runs, I’m going to try one of those axe systems for one of my rigs.
