I have to find someone who will do it. I’ve called a few places in Orlando but they only do bulk, they won’t do small orders.

Ask if you can camp onto another order. You might have to wait for a while but they might go for it.

What do you guys think I could ask for this? It’s got $100 worth of RPM arms, 1.5mod steel gears, dust boots, shock socks, and aluminum shock caps. Also has the Bluetooth module. Looking to sell for a dblxe.

That is an 8s. It's about 6 months old. Perfect mechanical condition though. It's even got the B&M 1.5 solid steel gears in it. That sounds right for my revo 2.0 though. Haha.

Just saw that SuperShafty is releasing 7075 aluminum axle housings for the Capra on cyber Monday!

Ive given up on the capra for now, just run it like it is. I swear, every mod I’ve tried has failed, ali of them have a side effect or require more modifications than I’m willing to do. I think I’m just going to build a truck around the axles, so this sounds pretty good.

    What have you tried?

    I haven't really done much.

    Running:

Hobbywing AXE 1800kv on stock gearing
    Reefs Triple 4 Steering servo
    Reefs 99 for dig servo
Extended front lower links slightly for more steering
60 and 80wt in shocks (Tried boom racing internal spring shocks, that was a fail.)
    and KLR's on Method 101's.

I do have a pair of brass portal weights on the way though as well as a slipper eliminator.

I think it's a pretty damn capable rig in basically stock form, but I gotta have those axles.

SuperShafty said they added 11 degrees more of caster to give a full 50 degrees of steering. Stock is 45 degrees. They use all the stock internals.

EDIT: Also, just realized you're in Florida. Where at?

I need to drive it more. Very capable for me as is. The SuperShafty stuff is usually very nice. Not sure I want to drop the coin on spare axles yet. Sure don't have the shelf space to add another rig either....

i live in Clermont. I agree it is a very capable and fun rig, its just hard to improve on. I tried the bent links and they kinda interfere with the upper links, need bent uppers to or more fiddling. And idk how much they will help without switching to a flat skid. I tried the boom racing overdrive gears for the front, could not get them to spin smoothly, maybe the SSD gears work better? The link riser for the rear really limits the travel in the rear, hits the cage, not really wanting to cut the back of the cage for that. I am happy with my holmes magnum and brxl, especially with the 11T pinion, finally have great low speed crawl control. I slightly bent the drag link to get full lock steering, and dialed more caster like you said, that worked well. Its super fun, I’ll just keep tinkering with it.

i was going to ask how you liked your shock setup.

Right on! I’m only about 45 minutes out from there. Do you ever get out to the Bithlo crawl course or scale mountain?

Honestly, I’m glad you stated your opinion. Now I can be careful what I buy for this thing. Haha. The boom racing shocks had cycled good but limited travel a lot. The heavier weight oil I run now allows it to cycle well still but slows it down a lot, which I personally like because I definitely slow crawl with the Capra.

Yeah I usually goto scale mountain, I haven’t been to the bithlo place yet. This Sunday I’m meeting a few people from RCC.com at the vortex pit, I guess its just north of scale mountain. Depending on how it is and how many batteries i have left, i may stop by scale mountain on the way back.

Right on! I haven’t been to the vortex yet but have been told about it. Bithlo has actually expanded their course. It’s probably about 3 times the size of scale mountain now. We will have to meet up at some point!

I actually saw your pics at scale mountain on IG a few weeks ago, I recognized your rig right away. And your welcome to come to this vortex meet on Sunday. Let me know, or we can set something for bithlo, it’ll give me a chance to check that place out.
