Anyone in/near TX, the registration has been opened for the rc rock bouncing comp in Bridgeport Tx, for the Central Rock Racing Series. It’s a 1:1 rock bouncer and SXS event, that they’ve added 1/10 rock bouncers as an official event. Event is sponsored by some big names in RC and only going to get bigger from here!

I added a few upgrades to the grave digger truck. I finally swapped over to the optional 16t pinion. I put some axial lockouts and c hubs as well as axial universal axles and lower link mounts.
I need to find an extra sway bar for the front and a pair of knuckles. It pulls a wheelie across the yard and is much better. I don't know if I want to do wheels and tires or not but I may pull the VO trans from the origin and get me a vfd.... Gotta wait on the portal axles off center but that case will eventually make it's way into the digger

So I’m thinking about going back to this hobby...
I recently pick up a nitro stampede for free, the truck was pretty much in pieces but I managed to put it back together.
The thing is that the transmitter and receiver are missing and the servo motors are stuck so I came to the conclusion that it may be cheaper to get a new one (I think electric would be better).129739DF-B79A-4450-9655-45C06AD47087.jpg

I wanted to ask you guys if you could recommend some RCs that won’t break the bank <300$. When I was in this hobby the only brand I knew was Traxxas.
i want to use on the desert so maybe 4x4 would be better

I wouldn't touch much sub 300. That's right about where I find 4wd good electronics and arrma losi or traxxas

Agreed. Save up another 100-200 and you will have much better equipment. Or consider finding used on FB groups, etc.

FlySky Tx and Rx for sub $100. New servo for sub $50 and that nitro would be off and running.

what do you think about redact racing ? Would it be like putting spacers instead of a king/ fox suspension ?

    Is FlySky the brand?
Can I use a different brand For the tx and rx ? Because I was thinking about using jbweld for the servo motors at least just to try it out.
The piston was stuck but I used w-40 and it worked it seems like it still has compression

I'd take it apart and clean it in denatured alcohol then re assemble. Red cat isn't bad but part support is hit or miss in local shops

FlySky is the brand of a cheap but good transmitter and receiver. For servo replacement, can’t really go wrong with Traxxas replacements. I’m not quite sure what the JBWeld is for.

I will order one from Amazon to try it out. i was going to use the jbweld for the mounting tabs of the servo since I connected them to a microcontroller and they seem to be working now, but I think it better to get new ones

Wrapped inside the lexan. Got my xr10 wraith bomber and now the Capra all with my topographic rips design. Going to talk to them about a sheet for me to use inside fenders and where not on a truck body
