I am running them all around. Other people seemed to be against it, but with the rear link riser they kick butt. I’m running the same foam setup, but with voodoo KLRs.

Got some issue though. Think battery or charger is bad. Reading full charge but only getting 5 min run time max.

    Will try later on.

Left the battery on charge overnight, even though charger said it was full, and ran it this morning.
    Major difference in run time.

Probably just a shot battery. Charger is more than likely fine. Is it a LiPo or a NiMh battery?

Any good recommendations on a good motor/esc combo for a axial that will give some fast speed but enough tourqe to still crawl some stuff

I run the AXE in my trucks. 2300kv combo will give it plenty of kick and super low end control.

I believe its the 2300kv i have in my other truck. Its good and very torquey but its not fast enough for what i have planned.

Granted it is in a truck thats really geared down with 2.2 and pretty heavy....

With the right gearing, more speed than you need haha

Whats up tacoma world. The new best forum for RC Crawlers.
I just bought a axial scx10 trail honcho and this thing showed up with no battery -_- From what I understand it has a deans connector on the rig. So I need a deans connector on the battery. I went to Max amps and got batteries with deans connectors.
I got one NiMh 5000 6 cell 7.2 v and one rc lipos 5450 2s 7.4 both with deans ultra female connectors the one on the truck is a male.
please someone tell me I got this right im so stoked to get this thing crawling.

If you got an scx10ii honcho then yes that is correct. If you found an old scx10 original they came with Tamiya plugs. Is the truck plug grey or transparent white?

ESC settings will most likely need to be changed when switching from the NiMh to LIPO.

Seeking wisdom for those more experienced in the hobby.

Have 4 lipos now and not sure if its worth the extra $$ for big fancy charger.
Currently using the basic, basic charger that is just a small box with led lights.

Advantage of getting dual charger vs single charger (2 at once vs 1 at a time)?
