I'm looking to get back into nitro, had a CEN fun factor when I was a kid, are the traxxas jato 3.3 any good? 385$ seems cheap compared to the electric ones?

Nitro has not made many strides in comparison to electric over the last 20 years.

I wouldn't get a Traxxas anything unless it was a great deal I knew I could flip to get my money out of. Lots of nitro buggies/truggies but nitro bashing has almost died with how fast batteries charge

What would you reccomend to start with if I did want to try nitro again? I'm capable of tuning and keeping them running as well, I know more about how a nitro works than an electric.

Thanks to the forums recommendations here I got an X-Maxx. It’s been a blast bashing it! I snapped a pinion, replaced the steering servo with the beefier variant, and went with the belted hobby power tires. Other than that it’s held up to my abuse. This has got me back into RC again, So I just picked up the Kraton 8S too. Can’t wait to test it out.

I have a Kraton 6s and one of the first version X-Maxx as well. Both are a lot of fun. I feel like the Kraton was a lot better value and a lot tougher than the X-MAXX. Like I said, both are great and fun in their own way.

Does the reefs kit come with decals for the floor too. I had seen the wall decal. Nice job on the ceiling

Took the crawlers along on a camping trip. Fun time navigating the after effects of beetle kill and a previous fire in the area.

Dad and I flew a little bit this evening at a local soccer field, all but two of my landings ended up upside down because the grass is deep and fairly thick, I couldn’t seem to find the right balance of power and speed.
Finally after my second landing staying on the wheels I went to take off and my prop assembly decided it didn’t want to be part of the plane anymore, at the same time dads plane lost control and spiraled down about 50’ and impacted on the prop and left wing.
Dads plane has a crack about halfway through the wing close to the fuselage and he lost one of the blades on his prop.

    Thank you sir!
The lights are from powershift RC! And thank you!
Reefs does not do flooring as far as I know. I did the floor myself. I painted it grey like concrete, sprinkled real floor flake all over it, then put 6 coats of polycrylic over top to make it smooth and shiny. The ceiling is all paint sticks!
