USPS wasn’t playing. Tracking says it has passed through the Oakland center this AM.

That c24-1 looks good. It appears WPL is paying attention to the masses. Especially if it has a true servo and not the friction servo that my early versions came with. Walmart used to carry some static military action figures that are close to the right scale of these. Smaller than the regular GI Joe and came in 3 packs with some accessories maybe, I can’t remember the brand. If you cut off the legs and some torso they’ll glue to the seat inside and look just about right.

I saw that - curious if it'll push to local office and delivered today. Unfortunately my batteries aren't coming until tomorrow or next week. I put a post out looking for a battery nearby so I can bring it with us  From everything I've read, it's a pretty substantial upgrade from the previous model. Figured for the price, can't go wrong. May just order some metal shafts and run it until I want to do more to it.

Now that retired and have time to get back into RC I’m thinking to get into a new Mini Z class at the new local RC track, it’s nice. The crawler track is awesome

I had an issue with my Senton where the tires were hitting the plastic body on full throttle. It ended up ripping my tire apart and making the hex detach from the axel. I replaced the tire and also checked the shocks, turns out they were nearly empty which exacerbated the issue. I filled it with 50 weight fluid and it's all good now. I took it out for a drive at my parents this past weekend and before I could even get through 1 battery the wheel came off again.

    PXL_20200926_183409065.jpg
The set screw on the axel was loose and so that flew off and I lost the little shaft that goes through the axel. I can see where this hobby is taking me now... :annoyed:

    PXL_20200926_183606337.jpg

I'm putting loctite on the metal parts and getting plastic 425 type for everything else as I noticed a shock mount screw was vibrating loose.

Finally said F it and bought a Arrma Senton 3s. Been annoyed at my Twin Hammer because it flips all the time and just not fast enough with 2s. Can’t wait to try it out.

Make sure you check the shocks. If you hear a sound like a a whistle/squeak when you compress them they are too low on fluid.

No, I had an eBay gift card so just used that. Also I probably would have ended up with a UDR or Super Baja Rey once seeing them if I went into a store.

Although I could use some random stuff, I mean if there is a distillery near by, sweetens the trip.

Getting closer. Trimmed the front fender liners and test fit the body tonight. I need to make a battery tray because, even with a low profile battery tray, the bed hits the battery. I'm still waiting on the front bumper and lights which will hopefully be here by the end of the month. I also have fender flares that I need to install one evening when I have a couple hours to spare.

Tires look a little big on there but I like it like that. Like an Aussie+. Got a body off pic? Have you considered some dual side saddle type batteries?

At first, I thought it was a Toyota Stout-they were made from the 50's through the mid 1980's. More of a square design and a short bed-it's oddly stylistic.

Friend is grabbing a used SCX10ii Cherokee today, but he said he may not keep it. Anyone in the market for one?

Got my Senton in the mail...and my battery connectors don’t work. Stupid me confused EC3 for EC5 so I’m sitting here looking at my new truck waiting for Saturday.

    It is gorgeous though!

    Still waiting on my adapter....:annoyed:

With all this extra time to think, makes me second guess not getting a Baja Rey.

Go to hobby store and get a set of plugs. Good to go!

    Or make an adapter.
