Regular Allan head wrenches can get annoying to use so I picked up a screwdriver set for my RC and 3D printers.

I also got a matching set of hex screwdrivers to go with it.

While parts are still printing I have been watching for sales and did a few upgrades.

Coilovers, transmission and drivshafts.I had to flip the ESC to the other side so it would fit.

Needs an intimidator paint job and I'd be waiting on it to arrive.

No doubt. I could see some nice cul de sac/parking lot matches with them.

Messing around in the backyard today. I have repainted the beadlocks already and they look better now. :annoyed:1227201309_HDR~3.jpg

With the mods I did I took it on a run around the back yard. I have a steep hill ( 30 feet, 30 degrees at least of loose dirt) that it couldn't get up before the mods but easily did it many times today.

I got a 1" cube spy cam I mounted on it but unfortunately did not have it set to record. I broke out the directions later and figured it out for next time.

The main body is glued together. The PLA would not take super glue so I had to use slow setting Gorilla glue. I think I will fiberglass reinforce the inside of the shell before I begin body working it.

Luckily I have that on hand. This thing is massive.

I also designed and printed a roof rack. I'm waiting on some M1 to M1.8 screws in a kit to arrive. I will build the wind deflector once It is together.

Oh, I broke the steering on the Jeep. Wheels turn when it's off the ground. Servo moves but wheels don't when it's on the ground. I didn't feel like figuring it out tonight.

So I was playing around a little harder than I should have and rolled the RC down the 30 foot hill after getting to the top.

It broke two of the pin holders. I had already noticed the new coil overs were causing the pin holders to bend in twords each other and started making new mounts but this made me move quicker.

I designed a three part magnetic mount for the front and back of the RC.

A lower suspension mount, an upper magnetic mount made for each body and a magnetic body mount to be glued to the inside of the body.

The lower part is rigid and holds the suspension parts in place. The upper part can be made to the height of the body and has two strong magnets to hold the body mount.

It has two screws to easily change it to replace the upper mounts for another body.

The body mounts also have magnets and fits over the upper mounts with a male - female fitting.

Here they are snapped into place ready to be glued onto the original Remo body.

They hold very strong but should give way in a rollover condition.

It will also eliminate having to mess with pushing in pins to hold the body on.

Mocking things up on Wide body build before paint. Also wanted to see what Scale 37's look like compared to Scale 32's.

Yes and I am telling myself I don't need another one until I fix the ones that are broken. I'm not sure it would fit on my shelf either

Hmmm. Looks like Axial built a Losi Rock Rey or Lasernut out of scaffolding.
Way too much flex. I see a lot of breakage happening.

Right!?!! I'd love to sell off some of the current fleet to make room and fund a build like this. Order a dump truck load of demo trash of busted concrete and dirt then have a blast ripping up it.

It's a full blown rock bouncer finally. There's a bunch on YouTube running blown big blocks in tube chassis'. I would say it's on the scaler side vs the Rock Rey and Lasernut. 3d print an LS1 with a blower and it'd be good to go.

Losi and Axial are the same team now too. When losi released the digger licensed truck I knew that horizon was not playing favorites. I'm excited for rtr rigs with proline tires..... I can dream

The RTR electronics in the Ryft aren’t bad. Prefer my own Tx/Rx, but the ESC and motor look pretty decent.
