I have a 1/16 revo now, well it was my sons first and it currently needs diffs. I’m tired of spending money on it so I think it’s gonna stay broke.

    no nitro.

I have an 8s Maxx. As far as I know, I'm the only one who has one so that makes me special. :)

The motor mount is a fuel pump mount that I "machined" on a drill press. I think the mount cost me about $10 on ebay. There is quite a few 3d printed parts on it. The bulkheads are aluminum because I kept blowing up the differentials. They would flex and the gears would slip. I haven't had the problem since I switched them to aluminum. I also made some sway bars for it. I can't remember the size of the piano wire but if anyone wants to know, I'll measure it.

I have an Ikea trailer for it with a weight distribution hitch that I take my son in when I walk the dogs. I normally just use the stock Traxxas tires, I was just messing with the small ones that are in the photo.

I'm currently printing some tire like things that I'm planning on gluing to the trailer wheels. They are made of TPU which is flexible so I'm hoping it's a smoother ride.

Another titan 12t bit the dust. Apparently burn outs and doughnuts kills them, and that’s all my son does. So what’s a good upgrade for my sons stampede?

also got him a new body. New front shocks. And waiting on rear shocks a wheelie bar to come in.

I'd leave it stock with a titan and play with gears a bit til he understands that..... Then Traxxas has the power up program to go brushed to brushless.....

New body? Was the old one cracked. If your looking for a cheap upgrade, get drywall tape (net one not paper) and shoe goo. Cover the inside of the body with the tape then glue. The bodies last wayyy longer.

One of the best upgrades I've done on my cars is smaller high C batteries. They weigh less and will put out as much power as larger lower c batteries assuming you don't go too small. Run time will be less but I still prefer them.

I finished up the wheels and added suspension to the trailer I posted a few posts back. I haven't taken it out yet but it seems to be working well. Wheels are about 145mm (5.5inch) diameter.

No dampers yet. I can't seem to figure out how to mount them in the tight space.

Finally put some time and money back into my TRX4.. been out of it for a bit. Rebuilt the shocks and swapped out for the softest TRX springs I could find. Added wheel weights and fresh foams all around. Then went with a 4pc (per side) brass portal kit. Similar to the DJX black brass kit. Took it out and man does it wheel fantastic now. Loving it all over again.

Ordered my SCX6 from my buddy's shop, little pricey but I've wanted a large scale crawler for years.

I am in the same boat, minus the Phoenix purchase... It may be in my cart though.... I'm curious to see how many local guys get a 6 first after the new year.

I thought XMaXX was expensive. This thing is over a grand MSRP. I’d probably be waiting until I hear reports. I did see a video NorCal Hobbies posted and that was pretty impressive. Just not sure about it.

For me it would be fun if there is a local group to set up a trail run or a course with gates....need to compare the driving of crawlers against another similar rig in my opinion. Sort of a match my line or something.....

It's not a builders kit.... It's a Jeep.... It's first run new release..... It's 1100 bucks....these are the reasons I didn't get one earlier in the week.

Do you have a local hobby shop? I'm local to NorCal Hobbies and they've got a very active racing scene. They have also set up crawler events here and there.

Edit: Here's a link to the video.

yeah one of the guys in our group had a track for a little bit.

We run Mini-z cars on RCP track in the winter time, its expanded to some pretty wild car/track setups.

I'm dumb enough to own 4 1:1 vehicles with staggering aftermarket support, then add motorcycles to the mix and its a recipe for disaster.

Anyway, supposedly the warehouse date for my SCX6 is today so I'm expecting to see it at my LHS in the next week if there aren't any more shipping delays.
