i had the same issue when I introduced my kids to the hobby.

two things to consider: price and quality. Expensive does not always mean quality.

If your looking to just try something out for you and the kids, a lower quality RtR may be what you’re after. Don’t buy a traxxas or axial......yet.

go to Amazon and search rc crawler. See what you like and what price you’re willing to go. Here’s a clone of an older axial honcho. Price is on point and the kits is complete from controller, to battery.

Picked up an Axial SCX24 which I love so far! Everything is reasonably inexpensive. I picked up a light kit from Etsy which is fantastic! Love the way it drives and how everything is an obstacle! So much fun!

Love these little things. We ended up with 3! Family wanted them so.... Got one for dad for his birthday. Each battery lasts an hour or so. Super sweet!

 

Who says you only need one crawler? Not you. Thats a nice line up!

Hey all, I'm thinking about selling my rig, which is a mfab printed 3rd gen on a hybrid of their misc01 chassis with scx10 reducer, center diff and rear axle. The build has a ton of hours into it, as the whole kit came in pieces with the body 3d printed rough. I also custom 4 linked the rear and gave it a lift to fit a slightly larger tire. I'm not sure what if any market there is for it, just seeing what you guys think. Thanks for looking

 

Based on the fact that Manitou Lou is MIA and no one has been in touch with him since January this year I'd say that truck is tough to find. if it's built well it could bring some nice cash
