Down at the Mint 400 Races. Met up with my boy three time Mint Champion Justin Lofton to have him sign my UDR body. Always a great guy and never disappoints. Good luck on a forth win this year Justin!

 

Got a pic of my old RC10T while I was moving. At some point I'll rebuild it and getting running again. I was around 11yrs old when I painted it.

 

That’s funny. I was just talking with a friend about the music/sports/hobby store that used to be in town. They had quarterly model building contests. I was trying to learn how to fade two colors. It didn’t work and no time (or money) for a do over. So I finished the car (cuda) and turned it in. Where the fade was supposed to be the two colors reacted and the car looked like it was wet when I painted it. It looked cool and turned into a happy accident when it took first place.

 

Losi is down here representing at the 2022 Mint 400 with their lineup. I have to say they're making some sweet rigs

 

I just purchased an scx24 and already started modding it. I have a question though. I want to add more leds to it. The controller has a ch4 button. Can I simply just plug the lights into the ch4 slot on the esc and they’ll work with that button? I’ve looked everywhere on google and can’t find anything.

 

I wouldn't. The stock ESC receiver combo is pretty much maxed out in stock setup with the LEDs it runs

 

I have a couple Losi trucks. Priced well. Fun to drive.

 

Restoration continues. The motor was bound up but the transmission is functional and now that it’s separate I got the motor to move freely…so I need to go to the hobby shop and learn whether I can still use it or need a replacement.

Turns out mine is what enthusiasts call a “B stamp” Cadillac RC10 (named after Associated’s Costa Mesa “Cadillac Ave” address here in SoCal).

 

oh okay. do i need another ESC to run more lights then? how do people hook up more lights?

 

Id go ahead and replace it. Go back with a similar or higher turn brushed motor for more too speed.

 

I'd look into some that are 2s ready and put a pigtail off the battery.... I think some folks put LEDs in the deadbolt bar when it came out maybe look into that or the furitek upgrades may have provisions too

 

Yeah l think Holmes even made some throwback labeled motors recently too

 

Had my heatwave UDR body for a few weeks. Dont mind the poorly applied decals, this thing gets destroyed everytime I take it out. I would love to get another Heatwave body and do it correctly, probably completely detail everything on it and 3d print a kc light bar like the full scale version, and just keep it as a 1000$ shelf queen.

Didnt feel like buying new wheels and tires yet so I made a stencil of the rim and sprayed them, used my silver streak mica paint pen and dipped a jewelers screwdriver in it to paint the beadlock bolts and lugs.

On the 3rd esc and 2nd motor in 2 years. Upgraded all hubs and control arms. I love this truck, but its too fast for its scale. I run it 6s and it being a scale truck it just barrel rolls if it catches traction when your going fast.

 

I was just at the Mint 400 Race and got to watch the full scale of that truck do it's thing. Nice build by the way. Looks great!

 

I'd love a UDR but no where to really drive it

 

I'm going to have to look at mine. I got mine at a r/c shop off of Ellis (I believe) back in the day, which is not far from there.

 

Anyone selling a Maxx, Xmaxx, UDR, etc?

 

Installed a rack on my daughter's bronco so she can give her unicorn rides.

 

Just realized I never posted this in here. The Element Enduro Knightrunner body fits the 1/8th scale Kraton very well. My kiddo threw my crawler body on it one night so I picked up a new one to trash.
