Those crazy Germans probably have a great deal of money just in the engines. Excellent scale work too--like shot with perspective, you might mistake one for a real one. Their meets have pro level announcers too. Just insane.

I'd be afraid to fly my giant A380 or C5-M rc plane if I had that much invested.

I almost purchased a 1996 D90 back in the day until the test drive. Wasn’t impressed with the 3.9L V8. A 1999 Tacoma TRD was purchased instead.

Well, I would be shocked…but I see what many people have in hobbies and that is just a drop in the bucket in comparison.

My “rock crawling” has some costs. That’s for sure.

This is the jet. I have video of it flying but it’s not letting me upload.

I cant imagine how much they have invested in those. Let alone what are they transporting them in?

First week with the maxx already broke the front bulkhead. But I’ve been beating the crap outta this thing. I give it a 10/10.

Lol geez. I have one too, they are great trucks. I was running the Lectron softshell battery and it recently puffed. So I gotta get a new battery. That's my only real complaint is the battery options for the truck.

It was just a perfect hit that broke it, I was jumping over the street and came up short and went right into the corner of the curb.

I know some people really despise them. But I just stick with traxxas batteries.
I’ve been eyeing SMC lipos but they’re always out of stock.

I use Reedy Zappers and Gens Ace lipos. I was hoping to spray out some liquid mask and airbrush paint this weekend, but the rain. :rain:

Lol ouch. I can picture that lol.

And I don't have a Traxxas ID charger because I have a bunch of other brand lipos for my track vehicles. Do they make a Traxxas battery for that truck that has a regular balance plug (for a non-Traxxas charger?) My hobby shop only had ID Traxxas lipo so thats why I bought the Lectron.

If you have matching and known good lipos you can connect them in series to increase the voltage for the big Xmaxx. I used to run a pair of long, skinny 2s airplane lipos in parallel as saddle packs on my Honcho and they did well.

Recently converted my trx4 to have dual shocks. I'm using some cheap 120mm shocks. The aluminum parts to mount it all were laser cut from 6061. Cost me around $12.

Anyone have any advise for doing speed runs with an overpowered car on the road? I can't seem to maintain control.

You could turn down your steering trims a bit. Large swings of motion in the steering can make it wobbly and get squirrely at speed.

Tires are paramount. They need to be rated for whatever ever speed or they’ll ballon horrendously and get squirrelly.

If you have a first gen Xmaxx (6s) , there's a cable you need to replace if you haven't. If you don't, there's a chance of fire. Check with Traxxas if you haven't made the swap yet.

I don’t. Mostly crawlers is all but cobbled together a 2wd Stampede a few years back with an oversized brushless can. On 3s it’s uncontrollable at full throttle.
