When you thinking? I'm supposed to be working but I'll bring a truck with me and if I can escape I will.

Going up after work, Probably end up at the spot around 5:50-6pm. Deadmans Gulch on Highway 7 just out of Lyons, tons of parking and lines and terrain for any rig.

I got out of there early and came on home. Keep me in mind next time you are thinking about going. Now that the weather is getting nice and sunlight later a stop off on the way home light be the ticket

We made it out around 6, wind was pretty cold so we crawled for about an hour. I tried to get a box stock Gelande 2 through the main canyon which was entertaining.

Needed a Colorado plate for the truck, didn't want to pay $15.00 for one, so printed my own, covered it with packing tape and glued to a thin piece of styrene, then used thin double side tape to mount it.
even has the 1st year for the Power Wagon. Made a few in case they get lost, plus there is a stake bed on the way that will need one on it. :p

I did basically the same thing when I needed an exact match to my real license plate. Just took a pic and printed.

Yours looks a lot cleaner! I wanted a yellow one but my printer refuses to do color for some reason.
Damn, with the proper background yours would be hard to distinguish from a real truck.

I can try that. Hasn't printed color in 13 years though. It's used just for invoices. I imagine the color cartridge has prolly aged a bit.

Thanks. That was my goal in trying to make a Minime of my real truck. Don't have many pics with outdoor background but here's a few comparisons.

So I tried that a couple times, says the cartridge is 2/3 full and cleaning was successful, but no color is happening. It's not a big deal, the plate is supposed to be b/w anyway for the year.

I'm new to RC stuff. Always wanted them growing up but wasn't in the cards. Things are different now, so I picked up three of the SCX24's, two of the JLs and one C10 so that I could wheel with the kids in the back yard. Decided that I wanted a Land Cruiser, so fired up the Ender and now the C10 looks more like this:

    Cruiser (1).jpg

    Cruiser (2).jpg

    Cruiser (3).jpg

I've been going back and forth between the C10 and JL chassis but have less tire rubbing issues on the C10. The body is the only thing I've modded so far but the kids and I have been having a lot of fun.

I think overall it gets decent reviews, not much of an aftermarket for it iirc. You can buy the body separate and its a good fit on the Traxxas TRX4M (hard to beat at $150).

The 1/18 is a FMS model, the company has a good following and the aftermarket will catch up eventually.
    https://www.fmshobby.com/products/fms-1-18-land-cruiser-80-gray
It will be very top heavy with the plastic body.
Check on prime, sometimes they have a better price.
Anything that says Axial is good quality but be prepared to fall down a rabbit hole of upgrades that are not necessarily needed, but might be wanted. The SCX10 platform is highly up-gradable, beware, some "upgrades" are actually a step backwards. Avoid metal axle housings, they tend to hang up more on the rocks. Plastic slides over easier.
The one you are looking at has metal suspension and steering links and a 35T motor, so that is a great start.
