    Thanks for the info!

I was doing a little research online and do you think it could be possible that i broke the clutch spring too?

It's very possible, sometimes the clutch will hang open because of a bad spring. You can try messing with the tuning some more, but to check the clutch for sure you will need to take off the clutch bell. You can try moving the engine off to the side by loosening the bottom screws under the engine.
But it is much easier if you take the whole engine off of the chassis.
The clutch bell will come off by a c-clip or a screw. Push down on each clutch, let go and it should go back up, if it doesn't then it needs to be replaced. They sell rebuild kits with all new clutches and springs.
Sometimes you get lucky and the spring came off, and you can just put it back together, but usually that's not the case. :)

So I finally got around to taking some pics of my savage without the lid. I also got some bash time out of it in the snow today. Sorry no action shots, I can't drive and take pics at the same time

ok, so i haven't even fired up the Revo 3.3 i got right before christmas (weather hasn't been co-operating) so i put one of these on order:

they are a little over 12" in length, waterproof and goes 50mph with two batteries. figured it would hold me over till Nitro-friendly weather arrives.

anyone have one of these little monsters? my patience will be tested by UPS this week lol

not right off the bat...doing research now for a good charger that will do everything including LiPo. man, i'm very stoked. i been messing with the Nitro Revo, but don't want to try to break it in when the temps are ~25*. i didn't tell my buddies i'm getting the 1/16 either lolz they are gonna sh*t when this little car leaves their stuff in the dust  they all have nitro rigs (Savage, TMaxx 3.3, and a Losi 8ight 2.0) i'm pretty sure the little Revo, even on just two NiMH batts will outrun them all. hahaha!

Those 2.5's are very fast! I think it can be a good idea, they sell the 3.3 engines for about $125-$150 on-line. Very easy transfer over and will work with all the clutch bells, engine mount, etc. But I think you will be very happy with the 2.5 version for a long time. Remember that most of the time you are running the truck, it won't be at full speed. By the time it reaches full speed you'll end up slowing it down to come back.

The 3.3 is a very high compression engine and sometimes can be more difficult to tune and turn over.
Good choice on truck too, the T-maxx can be more fun playing around then the Revo sometimes in my opinion.

Also have you tried looking the on-line prices? Amainhobbies.com and RCboca.com are the leaders. I usually recommended people support their local hobby shops but if they charge too much then It's hard to fork over the dough. You can buy fuel and glow plugs from the hobby shops though.

Anyways I hope that helps somewhat, if you have any other questions let us know.

I'm not sure if you are new with nitro, but if you are make sure you break it in! And break it in exactly the way they say how in the manual. You can break it in on 20% nitro and can continue to run 20% after break-in

Anyways, eBay can be good for some parts like aftermarket a-arms, bulkheads, etc. But I wouldn't recommend buying anything like engines or cars (new or used) and would recommend trying to buy from a business. I have a rule with eBay, and that rule is never buy anything over $50 bucks, and try to buy from businesses that have eBay accounts and make sure they are a real business.
So if you get ripped off, it won't be for too much money and you may be able to return it if something goes wrong.

Luckily they're are a lot of places on-line that have a lot of good deals for new items. The lower price stuff like fuel bottles, fuel line, glow plugs, fuel, etc. Are pretty much going to be the same price or close to the same price at you're local hobby shop.

:woot: mini revo came yesterday! was gonna try it out tonight after work, but we're supposed to get 4-6" of snow.

HBtacoma: you will love the TMaxx. my buddy has the 3.3 and it's almost too much motor. he can't really run w/o his wheely bar on because of excessive wheelies! if you plan on doing some bashing, i would recommend some RPM a-arms as he broke his stock arms shortly after purchase. the truck is a beast. can't wait to go heads up with him with my big revo...i'm waiting for better weather to break it in.

as for ebay...i have bought some spare parts and a couple of accessories with nothing but positive experience. i will say that most auctions end up being nearly the same price as a hobby store after shipping is factored in. try to find one of the ebay stores that disasembles new models and does custom builds...they sell the stock take off parts pretty reasonable. i've bought a couple things from Jenny's RC and am pleased with the transactions.

Dont waste your money on a replacement 2.5 traxxas engine. Spend alittle more on a OS .18TZ. Better quality and holds a tune better. I have a EBMOD OS .18 that is a beast. It twists drive shafts, front and back at the joints
