Super tempted to order this as well. The video reviews on them have been very positive!

My wife got tired of constantly tripping over or having RC's cluttering up the garage. She used some scrap wood we had laying around and built a rack for them. I helped a little and then hung it on the wall for her.

Has anybody ever used the RC4WD MOA dig unit? I would like to use it on my danchee ridgerock, but I also want to go dual ESCs as opposed to a single dual motor ESC so I can program some overdrive. Looking at the diagram they provide, is there a reason why I couldn't run direct power to the dig unit and then put the ESCs where it says to put the motors? As far as I understand, for all intents and purposes, an ESC is pretty much a potentiometer so it shouldn't matter whether it's before or after the input to the dig unit right?

With dual esc’s and a decent remote you should be able to easily alter the throttle input to either esc without the need for a dig box.

I used a sheet of peg board and stripped it in 3 sections. Then hung that in one corner of garage where only studs were and another section with some stripping underneath it. Got a couple of assorted hook kits at Harbor Fright and hang mine by the axles/Indy links.

I could set my rear motor to lock up, but I don't believe I have a way to lock up the front one while driving the rear. I have a 7 channel remote with 2 mix channels. The best I think I could do is:
Mix 1: Master front motor and slave rear with underdrive to rear
Mix 2: Master front steering and slave rear steering for tighter turning most of the time
    CH 1: Front steering knob
    CH 2: Front throttle trigger
    CH 3: Rear steer knob
Button A: Turn off mix 1 to allow front motor to do all the work while the rear motor gets 0 input
Button D: Turn off mix 2 to allow for fine control of front and rear steering independently.
That leaves me with two 3 position switches. I know there seems to be a lot of tricks with mixes and switches to do a lot of stuff, but I can't think of a way to control the rear motor while giving 0 input to the front one. I think I could set it to a switch, but that would be an on/off function as opposed to fine control. For as much as I'd use rear dig, that might be the way to go. I'm new to the fancy remotes, so I'm still learning what can and can't be done.

I browsed craigslist and Facebook marketplace for the 3 foot wire shelves.... Walmart sells the connectors to turn them into 8 foot tall units... Waited about a year but I finally got two complete shelving units....PXL_20230703_021942321.jpgPXL_20230703_021957007.jpg

I'm getting impatient! Some of the local hobby shops have already got some in and Tower still has nothing. :(

Yeah I had to order a servo right out of the box. Its a quirky steering system, in the sense that its multiple arms/plates that also adjusts gear mesh if you arent paying attention when you take it all apart.

So the truck arrived today... Only thing I can't let go is the generic nimh battery instead of the onyx, the shine on the rear axle and the concern about the plastic difference compared to the car and the misalignment of the body to the bumper/chassis.
I need to fixer the fender hack job a bit more but it did come with the servo mounts to replace with something else and the radio has options for receivers from other axial trucks of the era...tactic was in a few for a while.
    PXL_20230707_231204223.jpg PXL_20230707_215947603.jpg

Despite it all I'll run the stock electronics for a bit then toss in the ESC, servo and receiver and run it on 2/3s til something goes. Then the castle 4100 will go in.... That should give me time to find a pinion selection.

You can actually steal the tactic servo too... I tried to drive it but the throttle end points could not find a neutral and the truck wanted to either drive off or back out without any input on the radio.... Wasted yesterday and should have pulled it all out and not even charged that stupid battery.

    It's fun on 2s

4pls or 10px. Most Futaba ground receivers work well with that receiver too. Anything s-fhss protocol I believe

The R O A R electric offroad nationals are coming to Rome, N.Y. next weekend. Its our local track, about 20 min from my house. My son races 1/8 scale and is gonna race junior and enter pro just to "race against his heroes" . Qualifying will sort him with racers at his speed level. It should be a good time!

Well I've been on the fence about a drag car.... The horizon discounts on the losi roller got me tonight. 80 bucks shipped to the door. Now to figure out what color to paint the supra body I plan to buy.

didn’t realize those worked with the 10px. I’ve been ordering the powerhobby 4ch ones but could use a few more since my kiddo’s DX5C is having issues and he is using my old one.

Has anyone on here ordered from horizon hobbies ? I just placed an order with them today and had some questions for them but their customer support seems a little lack luster.
