I used to fly the Whoops around the house and they were great fun, sometimes when there was no wind I would fly out one window and in another...... then I wanted something with more horsepower yet still small.... between trying to figure out betaflight and programming Tx's I ended up just giving up on it.... it was to damn condusing.... that and the goggles were to close to my eyes...

I ran my TGH Titan in the the last Crawlspace comp series, I got 3rd overall in Class 2 and both my Sherpa and Titan do really well at the CS Friday Comps.

South and North were also separate owners from what I know, it seemed like South just was done with owning a shop and wanted to go to more custom builds?

What metal lockers do you have? I blew up the plastic diffs in the first 20 minutes outside. Pinion gear snapped in half.

Right now I have on order two sets of the "metal open diffs" from FMS that ill lock out. I also found a set of FMS metal gears for the previous LC80/Katana that looked like they might work. I'll return whatever doesnt work.

I got the Treal ones, they're not cheap though.

I dug back into my Yeti JR. I couldn't get the steering to work unless I removed the servo saver. Servo saver too loose and it wouldn't center, servo to tight and it was binding/sticking.

Yes they were owned by different owners. Just surprised to see David step away from something he put so much into....

It was really weird to see, but he's still in the hobby and running a few Class 0 comps down south. My have just been a business owner decision to not ruin his love for the hobby.

So FMS received my damaged LC80 over 2 weeks ago at this point and still no communication or replacement. I can just order one on Amazon with one day delivery. This is ridiculous. I'm trying to see if they'll either provide some sort of compensation or just cancel the order so I can order on Amazon.

If they don't I'll have to do a credit card chargeback/dispute (which sucks because my wife ordered it for me and I didn't want to drag her through this as well).

I'd just be patient and wait it out. Go ride that new bike, you'll forget all about the car for a bit. :D If I had your weather, I'd be out riding right now.

Gonna get my nephew a real basher for xmas.

    Right now candidates are:

    1. Granite
    2. Gorgon
    3. Vorteks

Started leaning more heavily towards the Gorgon.

I would start with the gorgon and maybe add the 4x4 kit for the 2wd brushed cars and make it a 4x4 monster truck.

    It's here!

    upload_2023-10-23_19-24-4.jpg

As you can see I already swapped to some Injora brass bead locks. I also hacked and cut up the lighting wiring to have the blinkers and tail lights always on instead of turning with the wheel or only lighting up in reverse. It's crazy bright at night that way. It's not my cleanest work but it should hold up just fine, especially as the body and chassis don't need to be separated very often.

    upload_2023-10-23_19-25-1.jpg

I emailed FMS last week and asked for a refund so I could just buy it on Amazon and get one day delivery, but they told me they actually had shipped a second one out but that also got lost in the mail (I never even got a tracking number), and for all the wait they refunded me and shipped me this one. I'm waiting for my wife to confirm she got a refund but so far I'm happy with FMS's support despite it taking a month (I placed the order Sept 24th!).

This thing is so fun and I don't think it needs any mods other than the wheels. I'll probably wait for the diffs to break before I replace those with the Treal ones.

I dont think the Gorgon can be converted to 4x4. It's not like the Granite/Senton lineup and has a different drivetrain layout. This is what makes me a little hesitant about it, if he starts wanting to jump and flip I think a 4x4 would be best?

I suggest the granite. Monster trucks do better in grass than short course trucks

Yeah, thats where im at right now. Gorgon is still on the menu as a 4x2 monster truck that seems durable, but the Granite is proven. An MT10 is also being considered. :pumpkin:

100% correct, I thought it was on the same chassis as the granite/vorteks and all the other 3s Arrma’s. I started my son with a Granite and he now has an 8s Kraton.

Attention! odomandr and all other Colorado Crawlers. This Saturday evening Weathers gonna be cold and wet so dress warm and get some more aggressive tires on there.
