Didn't Traxxas invent that a while back, so the telemetry sensors could be seen on your phone? I wouldn't risk connecting my phone to the transmitter the way I drive. :burnrubber:

No, just a competitive RC driver. Phone would likely drop and break mid race.

What do you race? I just built the track for the U.S. oval championship in Utica N.Y. my son races 3 classes this week. He is in tight with one of the best chassis builders in carpet oval.

Nice! He likes associated for offroad. We have a local track halfhour away for out door (4 x 4) and 45 min the other way for carpet indoor offroad(2 wd). He qualified 31st at the ifmar world qualifier last summer, top 30 invited to world championship in portugal.

Wish we had tracks near me of any sort. Anything indoors to beat the summer heat and unpredictable weather.

Got this in the mail today. It's going to stay on the shelf for display. They've been pretty difficult to obtain, but a few sellers on eBay still have them. This was the last one from Amain Hobbies.

As a kid, whenever you made Mario jump, did you whip or raise the NES controller over your head?

True story, the Super Nintendo NES that was gifted to my sibling and myself for Christmas was sent back, because my parents were anti video games. That changed over time with the original gameboy, Sega Genesis, Sega Dreamcast, N64, PS1, PS2 and Xbox one. I think in that order. I still feel like I missed out on way too much with the NES era though. Some of the best games were on that console.

I started on the fake wood Sears-branded Atari, but the NES got the most gameplay - what with worn cartridges of duck hunt, excite bike, and spy hunter. The SNES was a mind blower - that was the top of the gaming mountain. Amazing advancements have come and gone, but nothing evoked the true emotion of "holy fuck this is the future" quite like f-zero, pilotwings, and Super Mario World.

Buddy had the Atari and I had the Intellivision. Really enjoyed the NES when that dropped. then onward.

My school teacher mom got us a Texas Instrument thing. Keyboard with a cartridge slide on the side. Didn’t get a proper gaming station until my older brother bought one after he started working and it was a Super Nintendo. I got a PS2&3 and after the 3 broke I haven’t cared much for much since. There’s a 3x Switches, an X-One, Wii, and more random handheld Nintendo devices floating around my house now.

I’d rather turn wrenches than press buttons. Always been an hands on type.

Grandmother got me a Nintendo Entertainment system for Christmas. She was a librarian and the summer before, I read books and played wheel of fortune on the computer (5.25 floppy disc) while she worked every Friday. I'd stay with her on the weekends and we would get dinner Friday and breakfast Saturday morning then go to the farmers market and the grocery store. I'd pick up pine cones from her side yard and empty her de- humidifier in the basement. I miss my Granny she loved me and I loved her.

Terrible picture, but I drove down to the local hobby shop to get a couple of the last sets of RC10CC tires for my original gold pan RC10's. These have AE/Team Associated stamped on the sidewalls like the originals from the 80s. (The RC10 re release versions have pro line stamped on them)

40th time they have done a limited version instead of just keeping it available. So silly to make something artificially rare

I'm having a similar issue with 4Runner Mini-Z. They sell out fast when a new batch drops, and a handful of them get marked up and thrown onto ebay. Meanwhile the rest of the Mini-Z 4x4 can usually be found with ease.

Omg the mini z stuff is terrible. Especially the bodies. Some are so highly detailed they damn near cross over with scale modelers and go for more than a whole kit. I was looking for a skyline mini z and have yet to pull the trigger on one due to the false scarcity.
