I was on the fence with this, until I saw the red one.
I have a car show to go to today, hopefully that'll distract me from buying another car.

    Question for the masses..

Where do you get your stuff? Local or online. My local place is also online and around the country (Hobbytown). That said, do you hit the store up or just order from the manufacturer for parts or cars/trucks?

I know of Tower hobbies, and the recent amain hobbies.

Usually AMain hobbies, Tower is also good. They tend to have sales that the box stores don't have. Our Hobby Town shut down several years ago, they were a bit high on prices anyway.

Online, best selection and stock by far. Amain for mainstream, and then some specialty for the drift stuff (Super G Drift). None of the local or even regional (I'm in Canada) usually have anything in stock, and if it is its grossly overpriced.

Got some more stuff in today! 10BL60, servo mount and motor mounts for the Grom, 10BL120 for my drift car and some paint because I needed to reach $60 to use my $60 off coupon at the store.

Still waiting on some ball ends for the suspension on the Grom as well as motor and pinion gears. I also have a servo coming for my Redcat crawler.

I order almost everything from Amain online. There's a few local shops, but they sell mostly Traxxas and prices/customer service are lacking. If it's something discontinued or hard to get I'll comb through fleabay. Liquid RC/mr-retro, omnimodels, stormerhobbies, Absolute Hobbyz/pa39r. Occasionally from Faskolor and Prolineracing.

Stormerhobbies is actually pretty good. I've ordered from them for decades. Tower's okay. I haven't had the best experiences and try to avoid them.

No pic's, but after driving the crawler in the yard for a bit. Wifey came out and sat in a chair, Then I started driving over her feet (she had hey dudes on). She thought it was funny the first time. So of course I had to keep doing it to annoy her. after the third time, that was it, as I was pretty sure it would have went flying through the air.

    That is all.

Amain, Amazon, or straight from the seller (like Injora, sometimes)

Not much in the way of good hobby shops around here

I took some drift shocks I had lying around and stuck them on the Grom. No more chassis slap!

I'll let you know in a few days when I put the brushless system in. So far, not too bad at all. I appreciate that it's all hex hardware instead of Philips screws.

You can change the preload with some clips but that's it. I think it needs some stiffer springs to not slap the ground so hard. Now I've got a slightly higher ride height as well that allows me to go over grass easier and it's way better while jumping (still hits the ground but not hard enough to upset the truck). The downside of the stiffer springs is that it's way more slidey and tail happy, though that might be a positive if you're not racing it.

Fair points, hoping there's some aftermarket or OEM support for it. Be nice if there were pistons and springs available to swap out, I guess oil weight could be changed if they can be disassembled? Guess I need to do some more research.
