Well it was hot out there today, both the dog and I had enough after an hour. I couldn't find the line I got to drive the Vanquish on, but I had a blast either way.

Just found this thread. I collect, restore, and build NIB, Repop, and Vintage Tamiya RC. All shelf queens at this point. Have a work in progress and a ton of NIB ready to build. Moved into a new home a few years ago and the wife decided my RC cars and skateboard decks were not part of the decor in the new house. lol
Currently have about 15 NIB cars and buggies. One in progress car. Two restored buggies on the shelf. Probabaly gonna' finish out my garage and build cabinets for the lot. Just gotta' sell off 40+ skateboard decks.

Posted this on Reddit but got radio silence:

Two different sets of the Injora 1.9 rock terrain “Austarhobby” tires arrived with huge variances in the shape of the sidewall and bead. Would you use these or return them? Generally happy with Injora stuff (especially for the price) but these have me wondering if they’re not worth keeping.

Third pic left to right is the Injora King Trekker, Hobbypark rock tires, then the aforementioned misshapen Injoras.

The deformed tires shown are actually from 2 different sets I ordered, the first and then the next both misshapen

Nice collection! I still have my Tamiya Frog that I got when I was 12. Far from a shelf queen though. And I have a Blackfoot that is in pieces. A number of years ago I tried adding to the collection through Ebay but got outbid. Always wanted a Marui Big Bear and a Fox. The Big Bear dream is over after seeing what people want for them but might pick up a re issued Fox.

Had a good time riding motorcycles and crawling at the beach with a friend. The Redcat is super capable. Happy with it.

The beginnings of spare parts Fat Pig III. I already have a servo from warranty in hand. I'll purchase the Redcat skid plate with a transfer case in the morning. I have a ton of links from experiments with Fat Pig II. Next up Treal axles for FPII and FPIII will get a well worn set of axles. I'm thinking maybe a Frankenstein truck with duel rear wheels.

Unintentional before / after of the C2X. Didn’t mean to do the before/after but it’s a fun parallel.

Rookie mistake today. I loaded up and went out to South Mountain. I got the dog, water, tools, an extra battery, and forgot the transmitter. :annoyed:

So, today back in Crawler Corner.

Howdy, I haven't visited this thread in a while. Here are a couple of my Vanquish-based rigs: The Toyota is a VS410 on a Zoku chassis, and the buggy is an H10 on portals with rear-steer and a VFD twin.

Spent a real day on the (hiking) trail yesterday with the C2X. Did 2ish miles, no issues other than it seemed like the truck lost power/speed towards the end even though I swapped the battery as it was starting to feel like it was getting "tired." Not sure what that was about.

Also going to go back to the Injora King Trekkers for trail running, love the look of the KO2 but they need softer foams to really be what's ideal for these kind of trails

Nice! I think you'll love it.

I found this dirt lot with some jumps in the background and it's super fun with the Grom:

Haven't been on this thread in awhile, not since I sold off my XRAY XB4 rig I used to race.

Looking at getting myself a small toy to play with, something in the 1:18 to 1:24 scale.

Typhon Grom comes up, MJX Hyper Go, Losi Mini JRX2, and a few more.

    Choices...

Any of the Arrma Groms are solid choices, though if you feel like you'd ever go brushless, getting the new BLX 223s would be a good idea since they come with the brushless system and about $100 worth of upgrades as well.
