I did see that come up in my feed and considered staying brushless since it's all I've owned for years.

Just wanted something I'd pull out and play with in the neighborhood once in awhile.

Are they out in stores yet?

This came about because I was thinking of checking out a hobby shop in town tomorrow.

They're still on pre-order but should be shipping in the next few days.

I like going in to the hobby shop too... But going out of town has become rarer as are my visits to a brick and mortar hobby shop since the local shops closed

Took my kid crawling on Friday to a spot I used to offroad at. Got there only to find out the motor in his Bronco was blown. So we take out my Honcho and take turns playing with it, he gets it bound up and strips the transmission gear.

Hobby shop was fun, haven't visited one in a few years now.

Also, leaving home with this bad boy (was the last one)

    Will do!

I plan a mess around with it later today after some errands. Thank you for mentioning it since it was on my radar but I didn't expect to find it locally.

What's funny is, while I was talking to a customer there just hanging out, someone else came in to buy it but the guy working there said I already had dibs

The other sales guy pulled his out and started running it on the floor, but he had a 3S. Damn thing is fast!

Now one guy did try to sell me on their 3S battery and fast charger kit, but I opted for better tires only.

I've had my fair share of fast RC's but I haven't owned one this small since I was a kid and ran a Nikko. Who remembers those swappable crystals on their transmitters?

Oh god I forgot about those

But quite a bit before that

I got my first RC back in '95 or so; my dad got me hooked on it soon after he got me into WRC as well

We used to watch it whenever they'd race (back in Germany)

I'm jealous!! Looks so good. All those mods are basically critical for the car to run brushless and you get them for a great price.

I have to say, I just had a shit ton of fun running the hell out of that 2S on 100% throttle.

It's fast, and I mean...I've owned +70mph RC's but as small as this thing is, at 35mph it feels so fast.

After a good 10mins though I did hit the little reflector in the center of the road which sent my RC a good 5' in the air, tumbling pretty hard.

Nothing broke, and dialing it down to 75% throttle even, it's fun.

    Highly recommend!

I picked up a Mojave Grom back in the summer and it's hard keeping that from spinning out sometimes but it's a blast. Kind of wishing I would have waited for these to come out. Might have to add one to the collection.

I just got back into my rc stuff this summer and was looking through my toolbox/parts bin and found a few pairs of the crystals. When me and a buddy bought our Tmaxx's and Savages about 20 years ago you still needed them so we each had a couple extra sets in case others were on the same frequency. When I got my Tamiya Frog back in the 80's I remember guys had different colour ribbons on the antennas of there radios so guys knew what frequency you were running.

    Enjoy the new toy!

Oh man I forgot about the colored ribbons!

Saw those same old school RC guys when I was a kid growing up and watching the races

I wanted to come back to this thread to add a little more than just "I highly recommend it" to the Arma

Mind you, I've only ran it on the street and not on grass or dirt.

I thought that right out of the box I was having a little trouble with steering. Fortunately, there's a steering trim adjustment but I couldn't get it dialed in exactly right.

That's when I got to adjusting the stability control. My setup right out of the box was on max so I toyed with it a bit and settled on the second setting.

I like that you can turn it on, off, or adjust it to something in between because I found max to be way too aggressive. Now I run it all over at 100% throttle on 2S, with low DSC, and steering rate turned down a bit as well. It has a tendency to oversteer a bit and this helped a lot.

Now I can easily drift this thing around a cone, and hook right back up at full throttle to bring it back around.

    This fucker is FUN.

I don't have much experience with RTRs since I've always built my own. And on those I felt like I had limitless tuning on my Futaba, but it was nice to see how much I could adjust on my Arma BLX.

I feel like this is quite a step up from the only other RTR bashers I've owned before which were the E Revo 2.0 and Slash (both brushless).
