Got the Mojave grom this week. It's a little ripper and will need to go to a dirt lot to fully play with it.

The scxpro kit is stashed away for a snowy day and the scx24 deadbolt will get the meus axles soon as the wife and baby are napping this weekend.

I did order the mini z drift conversion and hop ups from mrd they have shipped but slow boat. Need to grab a ma020 for that project

That's what I ended up doing with the factory coilovers. I cut a few rings. Ran without the spring but didn't like how it always sat bottomed out. Got it nice and low. May look into a lcg chassis or see if I can make some shock towers this time around.

Yep. But with a 300 rpm motor, so maybe more of a crawler. Motors range from 150rpm to 3000rpm, with 500 to 1000 being the sweet spot. None of those are in stock anywhere.

I was surprised at how small it is. The axial yeti jr is bigger. It is super fast though and I need to get some non smart batteries as I'm not paying for a smart charger

    4 run, 2 don't
The RC I bought for a friend as a Christmas gift arrived a day early, and I purchased it after buying myself an RC

However, that RC seems to be running late as I'm still waiting for it :annoyed:

Brought out the scale and that changed everything. Apologies for the pic heavy post.
battery is up front now and receiver in the rear. 9 gram difference.
    RX plate.
Actually used less material in both.

Wiring is a mess. Had to lengthen the servo harness.

Moving the RX to the rear not only lightened it but gave more room for the antenna and the wires aren't smushed under the hood.

Rear has more spring now, raised the front top shock mount 1.5mm to drop the front down the same. Between both, it leveled it out a little bit.

on/off switch clipped into the RX plate tucked up between the frame rails, easily accessible.

Light rewiring is next on the list.

Ball links and the little gnats are Phillips head screws. Gonna table this until tomorrow with fresh eyes, better light.

I'll build this in another thread and post up a link.

WT Micro used to make Kyosho 0.7 wheels that worked with RC4wd's (I had SCS Ray 10's) - the scale looked better but the performance is kind of lacking in 0.7.

The Kyosho super swampers actually perform half decent.

Edit: Also it was just ramblings from me. Not any critique on the build at all - looks sick! Reminds me of the giant tire snow wheelers.

lol, I went down that rabbit hole when I bought the thing. There are not a lot of choices for rubber for these.
I think it now looks like every high school kids 80's 4-runner. So fairly legit. :D

Was supposed to go wheeling tomorrow but shitty weather and some family stuff canceled those plans, so going to do as much RC stuff as I can...

    -TRX4M Tarantula build
-Clean and re-oil TRX4M shocks which are still sandy from the summer
-Put IR40 body from TRX4M onto Ascent 18
-Shit-rig a way to fix the FCX24's front axle that broke
-Work on the crawler corner that'll eventually be some kind of course using the big ass rocks from the house construction we're doing
