    Think there'll be another?

I see it for only $119 at the moment so probably best to get it now. I fear it'll only go up in the near future...

Running the foams the tires came with.

Good to see more motorcycle peeps in here! The SCX24 is awesome. You can throw that in your F900GS and go micro wheelin while taking a break from riding!

So, I intend to keep the SCX24 stock (due to its size)

Everything is either too big or too small for it

But, it's not to say I don't have several items bookmarked such as axles, tires, wheels, and more :anonymous:

I did finally take the FCX18 outside for the first time; my kid put in a ton of steps during the hour we were out lol

Not much in the way of "technical" stuff but I did get a good feel for what should be changed out

    20241228_130456.jpg

I don't like the "play" whether it's the transmission and/or motor combo. I'll need to replace that along with finding some shorter length shocks. With the slightly shorter length I'll be able to move the mounting position in a way to bring the wheel up more. The way it's set now, I have lots of travel but on compression, the frame is still too high which is not good being top heavy.

I'm thinking something like 55mm in length would be perfect.

Man...in recent years I always went local

For certain cars I couldn't find, I just go with what's recommended in this very thread

Amain is one place I've ordered parts from, as well as having ordered an RC from Horizon Hobby

I appreciate the insight. We used to have a good hobby store by me but they closed down about 5 years ago or so. The next closes one is 50mi plus from me. I'll check both of those sites out. Thanks gents

These weren't supposed to be here until Monday. :dancingbacon:

Half the cost is obviously packaging. Makes the unboxing kind of breathtaking though.

I weighed them against the stockers, just an additional 2 grams per axle. These are also 5mm wider.

Added grease to the diff. Nice to be able to open it in place. Doubt it will ever get changed.

The install was not a straight bolt on affair. I had the lengthen the top links 4mm and shorten the bottoms by 2mm. Doesn't sound like much, but the top short links are now only about 3 threads in. You can see the extra thread showing. I need 4 of those links, 5mm longer.

Took this just before toe in adjustment.

Servo sits a little more forward now, drag link moves to the back of the arm and sits level with the tie rod, which no longer needs the cool little bend in it. I ended up shimming it back 1mm for better clearance. Has a pair of adjustable width arms to hold the servo. You can just see my washer shims, smallest I could find.

The diffs are 2mm larger in diameter, so lost a mm of clearance. :p

Was able to get the diff angle correct. The wheel base stayed the same, even shortening the top links. If I can get longer ones, I'll be able to lengthen it a few mm's.

Driveshafts won't be here until Monday, beadlocks are coming from Chinese Ebay, so maybe in a couple weeks.

Been doing that since my kiddo was born and not stopping any time soon lol kid's toys make surprisingly good obstacles (and a baby doing "tummy time" makes for a hysterical obstacle as well... not that I would know... :p

Here we go! It's smaller than I expected. I think it'll be perfect for romping in the yard though. Things are nicely designed and beefy all around. The factory alignment could use some work but overall I'm impressed. I'll go through it today and double check stuff before the packs get here tomorrow. Then she's gettin dirty. :bikewhoops:
