If you talk to him again, tell him "my boy just bought some links from you. Guy in CA"

Oh I will if I go that route. Try and get you a voucher or something . Would you happen to know if there's a difference between servo winches and steering winches? Say someone accidently ordered a nsdrc rs100 winch servo and didn't realize it. Could he use it as a steering servo? :bananadead: Or would said person need to cancel yet another order and get the correct servo?

Technically, it could work as a steering servo as the limits are with the steering wheel. But it has no natural stopping point, it's meant to spin on a 3rd channel with forward, neutral and reverse.
I say keep it and add a winch.

Sounds like a plan lol. I could still set my endpoints via transmitter though correct?

Honestly, I'm not entirely sure. It might try to spool up the drag link. Curious to hear what you discover..
Maybe try it not connected to anything.

I have an FCX10 and have not had anything break but a linkage attachment on the knuckle. Repaired with with braid and glue. That said, there do seem to be a lot of issues noted. Mine has seen some epic tumbles.

I think my biggest complaint overall is the quality of the shock bodies. Replacing them with some rebuilt 100mm Axial ones has me very happy.

@Bertw192 said that Baja Reys are mallcrawlers. Fact.

Wondering if I should keep the Prosteer's.

Then I'd have to buy a servo for the GX470 cause apparently SCX24 factory servos are trash. :spending:

    Ha no voucher necessary

Just meant if you talk to him again. He gave me a tiny discount to show his support as we got to talking about business and stuff.

Come to find out he's a one-man show so I wanted to stick with him for my links; he wanted to pay it back when I shared I'm a one-man, veteran owned business as well.

You'll have to get me their weight as a set (fronts and rears, no steering) and I'll weigh mine when they get here.

I'm going to run something between 39mm - 43mm for shocks.

Will do! During my chat with Tyler we discussed weight. He basically stated that the weight advantages/disadvantages from links at a 1/24 scale are not noticeable.

Yep, that it'll really come into play going 1/10 and up.

Think he and I brought that up as well. I just remember asking what material he uses cause I wanted stainless due to how slick it is on the surface.
