I tried for a few hours to mount these without the silicone, and the tires would just not keep their form. But they are plenty soft with them. Same diameter as what it's been running around on, slightly narrower.

incorporated a clip on mount to the body, Spread the body and it clamps right to the frame.

The green from before really grew on me, it was a nice contrast.
I think a new tie rod that can be adjusted for some toe in might help with the piss poor steering radius it has. They are out quite a bit.

It's heavy but sits low enough it didn't seem to affect anything I was running it on before.

Someone in the group asked if the Furitek Lizard Pro was any good recently.

Since I had just bought one I read some of the comments and two different people stated having a great experience with their CS.

So links I'll provide an update when he ships them.

Wheels I can buy whenever, but I'm really conflicted on what to buy.

Part of me wants to sell the FCX18 and keep the wheels from IT so that's an option. They're grey so they're pretty neutral.

Aside from that, I need to buy some curved scissors for cutting the Lexan body and decide on a paint or two to go with (I haven't painted a body in over 7 years).

I might just go with something like a dark grey and keep to a "grey man" type build ya know? All low profile and unassuming.

The top weighs in at 35 grams. The entire car with battery weighs 367 grams. They squish pretty good for being that light with the inserts.

This thing out wheels all of my other small scale stuff.:p It ran my entire "course", in the snow, no problem.
My only regret is it has plastic r&p, Amain has replacements,on backorder, but no metal upgrades. The turf tires afforded it a bit of wheel spin, these do not. They grab pretty hard.

Really gotta be mindful of binding up the wheels, it skips a tooth now and then, and I already shimmed them tighter. I did replace the tie rod and that gave it a few more degrees of turn.

The mini stellar is stock gearing right?

The LGRP I bought is stock as I didn't want to bother spending time and money taking apart the MR variant just to try different gears.

What I will do is install the under drive gear for the rear axle that came with the Meus kit.

Oh nice, I don't think the underdrive is that significant if I recall correctly.

I'll post back and list the rating once it's all together.

Posted my FCX18 for sale, thinking I'll keep the wheels for the comp build.
