have personaly been w/my boss in his Tundra doing 84 in a 65, a state trooper goes by and hits the radar...x-band, then switching to k-band and still never pulled us over. from my experience...these work. supposed to jam laser too...but can't vouch for that. do the cops still have to be stationary to use laser?

Seems to me that a scrambler / jammer would be illegal... guess not...

i think it really depends on where you are and how the unit is operated...

ive seen some that send back random numbers and the officer just kept clicking the button till the guys speed showed up

state of sc requires you to be able to visually estimate a vehicle's speed within 3 mph before youre radar certified anyways...soo we can still figure out how fast youre going

trust me...Valentine 1...Escort whatever...jammers...scramblers...we have ways around those little tools and we can still figure out how fast youre going and stop you for speeding

and if there was a chance of you getting a warning...well...if its noted that you have one of these things...that adds to the probable cause of you breaking the law...and youre probably going to get a citation...

and you can say oh just throw it under the seat...or the V1 can be hidden...we can see the shit on your window when you pass us...we're not stupid

its kind of like when a guy in a white shirt with black vehicle interior tells me he was wearing his seatbelt when i could see clearly moving in an opposite direction that he wasnt

lol... LEOs in Southern AZ have the same radar cert requirements... (I used to always quiz a coworker who was a retired LEO).

I have a Valentine 1 and think it's good. I've noticed that when LEOs are doing the instant on thing the V1 picks it up if they are hitting people on the road up ahead. If you're the only guy on the road for several miles you're probably screwed......if you're speeding and they zap ya.

But, I gotta say I agree with the LEOs here. Speed kills, don't do it. I generally don't, but mostly run the V1 for those instances where, as seems to be commonplace here in Montana, I approach a small town, am more than a mile from the first signs of habitation or the city/town limits, and the speed limit suddenly drops from 70 to 45 and it takes a few hundred yards to get slowed down. Definitely speed-trap territory sometimes.
