Anyone know anything about motion sensors?

    So I'm doing some work on the house and I've got motion sensor flood lights installed up under the roof from the previous owner. The lights work, but the motion sensor doesn't seem to. When I go up and reposition the motion sensor part, the lights come on. But when its night time, the sensor doesn't pick up on anything. I've seen motion sensor replacement parts at the hardware store but haven't looked closely enough to determine the ease/difficulty of the replacement. Any feedback?

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    There should be a sensativity adjustment, and a "test" mode on the unit. Set the sensativity a little more.

    X2 and make sure its aimed in the right direction, mines are set to 8 on sensitivity. Also my lights have a on off on sequence to activate the light or activate the motion sensor.
