Somebody posted this the other day. The dude made it in CAD and then had a CNC shop fabricate it for him. He won't release the file. They think he wants to be the only one.

I wouldn't get a Voodoo. I have one, and the rack is nice, but their "powder coat" is terrible. I have one that is supposedly after they fixed the issue, but I've had mine on my truck for 4-5 months and the edge peeling and bubbling is bad. Contact their customer service about it and customer service is worse than their powder coat. Customer service told me my issue was "minor" and to use touch up paint. Would not buy anything else from those guys. Other companies make similar products.

Tough decision I guess, it’s unique and would be sweet to be that customized (proud of ones work). But it does seem silly not to market something like that, heck I searched for a while trying to find out about this rack with no luck. It’s really well designed. Awesome set up regardless!!

You guys think it would work in cad or solid works ? I was a mechanical detailer for 10 years and could probably get access to computer and software. Might take me a bit but I could probably get something kinda close, maybe.

It doesn't seem like it's impossible to build this yourself. The bends would be tighter than if you bent if manually with a pipe bender, if done the right way with a mandrel or CNC. But it's basically just those three uprights that are all one piece. Then the other main front to back runners up top that connect in the back, and get split apart and re welded to make it all one piece.

I'm considering bending and welding/fabricating this myself. Will create a step by step with pictures if I end up building this.

It's really a super simple design when you break it down, but yeah it's very unique and I wouldn't mind having it. Haha.

Same thing for me too, got mine in April. Was told to keep an “eye on it, we might be able to replace some parts” after waiting a month for a reply. Website states “quick to reply” and “1 year warranty” I hope the powder coat at max modular will be better.

Rack is pretty nice just not the powder coat

Nothing wrong with that. Most everyone wants their stuff to be personalized. (even if it looks like everyone elses, ala black wheels/level lift/LEDs galore)

    Custom builds are true personalization.

    Wut?

Yep. I dig it. But it's his, and he has the right to keep it that way if he wishes. Or at least not make it easy for others to replicate by tossing the plans on the web.

But eventually someone will likely do a knock off.

I don’t know where you live, but here in Florida there are plenty of shops that make boat T-Tops. This actually looks like it is constructed similar to a boat top, I’m sure it wouldn’t be hard to find a fabricator to build something similar for a fair price and you can customize it to what you want.
