On the second Gen Prerunners and 4x4's if you have a V6, you have 3:73 gears. If you have the 2.7 4 cyl., then you have 4:10's.

5 lugger vs. 4x4, or Prerunner vs. 4x4?

Yes you can. The Prerunner 2.7's use an 8" ring gear.

I have a 2002 Regular cab 4 cyl. 5 spd Tacoma. The code on my truck is B06A. So that means I have a 8" gear ring with 3:91 gears and 2 pinion open. Does this sound right? If not, does anybody know what my gear ratio might be?

Digging up the old thread on my quest for information: Does the gear ratio count also for the V6 manuals?

Mine is a 2004 RC 4X4 with the 2.7. I actually can't remember how I did it but I looked up mine once I got the numbers off the rear diff and mine is 3.90. Not the 4.10 everyone else seems to have. I wish I had the 4.10 as the 3.90's are a little high. It sure does like running at 85 mph all day long though. When I take a long trip in it that is.
