It's in the middle of the picture. Also, what exactly is this bracing. I just noticed it was missing. I'm pretty sure i took it off when I did my 60k service. It must have fallen out recently. Sorry for the dirty engine bay. I'm on dirt roads everyday where I live.

I'm thinking m8-1.0 or something close to that thread pitch.

I think that is what Toyota calls the Surge Tank Stay Bolt.
And the No. 2 Stay to be more specific. I know that doesn't help you much.
But maybe just maybe you could call Toyota and ask them if their parts diagram just happen to state the bolt size and pitch?
best I can find is it is part # 90119-a0143(2)

Not sure about pitch besides it being a 12mm bolt. Call your local Toyota Parts and give them this part number for a Surge tank stay bolt w/washer:

    p/n 90119A0143

edit: If you have another front bracket on that side of the motor, it probably uses the same bolt size, which you can just take to a local ACE or HD to match up vs going to the dealer.

Thanks for the help. I'll have to go to a Chevy dealer. The closest Toyota dealer is now an hour away from me.

Are there metric bolts on a Chevy?

Just go to Lowes or HD and buy a M8x1.0...perhaps 20mm in length and you'll be good to go.

Look for the auto bolts in the specialty drawers. Should cost about $2 for two or three of them...Dealer? $5

Its M8x1.25, not M8x 1.0. You'll have to figure out the length on your own.

In my experience Toyota almost always uses 1.25 pitch and they use a ton of m8 bolts.

Ace Hardware (or similar) might be able to hook you up. I was riding my ATV in Michigan and managed to find some metric hardware when I needed it. Just another option for those without easy access to OEM parts in a case like this.

Edit: outdoorgb already covered this

Made a bunch of stuff black.
Where are you located? I'm in Utah and the closest Toyota Dealer is about an hour from me as well. Wouldn't that be crazy if we were in the same town?

You must be thinking about the socket size. There is no way in the world that the bolt for that hole is a 12mm. As mentioned, it is an M8-1.25 bolt, with a length of 20mm.

Wow...... That's a dusty engine compartment. You must be living somewhere in the booney with unpaved roads?
