    Older than that.

    I had a '94 and it had the center lift handle on the tailgate.
    That was the 5th Gen from '88-'95
    4th Gen also had the center handle.

    That one is a 3rd Gen... '78-'83
    Probably has round headlights.

    My first vehicle was a 1986 Toyota Pickup that looked just like that but silver(and yes it had the handles on both sides of the tailgate). Headlights were more rectangle than square. So I would say 1984-1988 area (think Back to the Future and Michael J Fox). Pre 1984 the pickup was more rounded in the front of cab, and 1989 became more rounded again. This was in the era of the boxy toy pickups.

    1986..had one in Hawaii...friend fried it changing the wrong oil(transmission vice motor)..still missing it!!
