Just curious. I'd like to see some pics of stockers out there like mine. My last car was a 1999 Trans Am and i modded the bawls out of that engine. It sure was fast but those modding days are over.

I plan on running this Tacoma into the ground but probably won't do anything outside of maybe some all terrains, secondary filter removal, and air filter replacement. Anyone plan on keeping theirs pretty much stock or am i alone?

I'm not 100% stock but I'm a lot closer than most of this forum. The most outstanding thing I've done is that stainless steel cow pusher sticking off the front and I've got a shell now for camping. This is probably how mine will stay for a while. I've looked into getting rid of the grille guard and getting a light bar but thats about all that's on the horizon.

    Does Plasti-Dip count as a mod ?
For the foreseeable future, I plan on leaving mine stock.

I'm keeping mine mostly stock as well. I put a tonneau cover on, added the fog light anytime mod and an Ipod adapter but that's it for the forseeable future.

well.... i wasn't gonna do much to mine untill i hit a deer with it, that led to a relentless fab bumper, which lead to 5100's on the front to help with the extra weight and level things out, i also did all a mild tune up and replaced my filter/plugs/belt ect, i'm pretty happy with how it sits now, it also already had a set of AT's on it that were brand new when i got it a few months ago, i dont really plan on doing much more to it outside of DIY and small things oh i put a set of HID's in also lol

Thank you, you just answered a question I had about beefing up the front because of a bumper :lol how nice are the 5100's?

Also do you like that bumper I was looking at a ARB bumper. It looks like it has fogs as well (well a place for them).

May I ask how much you spent on it to your door?

Edit, one more thing do you feel like it could take a hit? The bumper that is.

i'll try to answer all of your questions, the 5100's are great, i ended up setting mine at 1.75 with nothing done to the rear of my truck, they ride great, mabye a shade stiffer than stock and you get height adjustment

my bumper doesn't have fog holes (the holes you see aren't for fogs) but relentless can put some in this bumper for you for an extra $75 i think, they're further out under the headlights

as for a hit? yeah it def feels like it could take a few and keep going, it's all 3/16 plate steel, weighs about 115lbs i think, sure felt like it when i only had one other person helping me mount it up!

ARB bumpers are tough but i dont like the looks of them at all, while the headlight hoops will offer more front end protection (relentless can do full hoops also) i just dont like the looks of them but that's just me ;)

edit price.... send relentlesstaco a pm, he'll hook you up

gonna keep mine pretty quiet on the exterior for the most part since im not a 18 year old off road guy with a trust fund although those color matched '11 grills look pretty sweet. it needs a thule 4 bike t-2 rack, plug a mid rise shell on it and camper out the back end... maybe toss some kmc hd polished/black hoss 16x8's on down the road for needless style points. the interior is a diff story. plenty of little tricks in mind there. the plan is to make it a road trip cruiser, blow off expensive hotel rooms and ski resort condos and retain high mpg's to balance out the 1st year upgrade costs. my 2011 dh race schedule is startin to look busy.

Good stuff! Yeah, additions like floor mats and air filters don't really count as "mods" to me. I meant like lifts, lights, bumpers, etc.

I don't know why, but to me there's something attractive about leaving my truck stock. I know the wallet's going to love it (and honestly i can't afford to mod), but just thinking of leaving everything like it was out of the factory kinda lets me "test" toyota's name ya know? Really give all the factory parts a nice beating. Though i'm sure i won't have to worry about anything falling apart. I figure the engineers behind the truck know what they're doing and more or less intended for the truck to be left alone.

I will do practical modifications. As things become worn out or damaged, I will upgrade. Shocks wear out? 5100 and mild lift. Bumper hit from off roaring or idiot in parking lot? Winch and recovery bumpers.
I like it as it is right now, and I can't justify replacing perfectly good parts. If I made more money, that might change my mind.

Love It...I Modded most of my previous trucks, but I just turned 40 this year and kind of got tired of doing it. However, Since this picture, I have taken the tires off and Put Grabber AT'2 on, threw in a Alpine Head Unit. Next year I would like to do some 5100's. I don't want to go to crazy.
