I'm planning a trip at the moment. It's going to be 3 of us. 20th-23rd of Feb. I just got an online quote to Steamboat. $1355 ($450 per person) lodging, ski lift tickets, and board rentals for 2. Does that sound right?

I live in Colorado, and honestly Aspen is not the best area to go for skiing. Go to Steamboat or Winterpark. Copper is nice but it is right on I-70.

Steamboat is great - and the back country is even more great(er) when you get 16" of pow and are cutting fresh tracks in the AM. ski fo days! eff aspen. Copper's fun and friendly. A-basin is nice.

Wow. I'm looking at Breckenridge, and found a better deal for a room.

    Breckenridge
Lift tickets and rentals - $753.43
    lodging - $123.99
    total - $877.42 ($292.47/person)

    Fuel - $110/person round trip

    Total 4 days(lodging, lift, rental, travel) - $1207.42 ($402.47/person)

    Steamboat
Lift tickets and rentals - $674
    lodging - $499.04
    total - $1173.04 ($391.01/person)

    Fuel - Same

    Total 4 days(lodging, lift, rental, travel) - $1503.04 ($501.01/person)

Which place has the better "nightlife", so we have something to do after the lifts close?

breck nightlife >> steamboat nightlife... steamboat has the "tugboat", and maybe another billiards/bar place up by the mountain, and some places in the town, ...but i'd say breck is better ;)
