Long drive from Georgia but planning on a week of woodcock hunting next year and then spend a few days with wife sightseeing.

Are you planning to hit Burlington, VT on the way by? If you’re traveling the NY/Canada border it’s not a bad way to go. Craft beer is a staple up there.

For Maine, I fish Rangeley a few times a year close to the NH border but if you don’t fish, just keep driving haha. Beautiful area but it’s known for fishing or snow sleds in the winter. If you enjoy hiking, definitely put Baxter on the list. I’ve done all the tourist spots too, I enjoy a stop to LLBean/KTP and Portland but just know Freeport is outlets and Kittery is the same. Portland has good eats!

If you're coming up 95, Kittery Trading Post is a cool pit stop.

But I’d rather shop at Indian Trading Post. Cause I have to be in Greenville to do it.

For the sake of the world, go to Greenville just for the breakfast sandwich.

    It's that good.

Acadia is not to miss. I have a ton of family on the Island. My grandfather worked for Hinckley Yachts in Southwest Harbor as a carpenter until he retired. The only problem with Bar Harbor, Mt. Desert Island and Acadia National Park is the time of year. If you go, expect it to be very "touristy" and quite crowded. If I am going to visit I try to do it before mid June and after September 1st. Or just visit the "quiet side" of the Island. Luckily most of my family lives on the quiet side so I can get in and out during the busy season without too much hassle.

You have been given a ton of good advice but Maine is a BIG state and there is no way you can do everything in a week. I am sure will get some more great advice but probably the best next step is to narrow down what you are thinking of doing/where you are thinking of going? Then we can offer some more specific information for places to see, things to do, etc.

    You talking about Auntie M's?

Indian Trading Post is the greatest store on earth. Kittery Trading a close second.

He said a bit ago, there is a different place. My family thinks Auntie M’s is the best, we stop every time we are up there.
