So I am looking for a CAI intake for sale for a 07 Taco 4.0. I don't wanna hear the whole spill about how just get a drop in air filter with stock mess. I see that on too many threads as well. Everybody has there own opinions I understand. I do not want a K&N because all I hear is bad news about Mass Air Flow codes, etc. I even had a guy who actually works at a Toyo dealership tell me they were bad news for our trucks. So with that being said let me know what you got.....

Reason the k&n and most cold air filters are bad I because they let to much air in and little dirt particles to go through

Yea i know. I always read up on my stuff before I buy it. I want one like the Volant or something that has the box completely surrounding it.

    http://volant.com/edetail.asp?ID=395

Something like that. It doesnt have to be volant but the box keeps a lot of the dust and air particles out of the intake.

My experiences with CAI...All 4 vehicles I have had and sold had them on there... I actually did see a power increase plus they sound nice haha :D

Go with a old style Trd intake or an afe intake.

Beat me to it I was talking to a tech at Toyota he said the old style was carb legal like all the other intakes in the market and that's why they made the new style

Everyones input is very helpful trust me. I am a huge believers in peoples reviews etc. I read them on everything even on ebay. Ok so I the best bet is too look for an old style AFE or TRD intake. I HATE the annoying check engine light crap lol.

Best thing to do is have your money set aside, and check the for-sale thread often. I've seen the afe intake get sold within an hour or two of them becoming posted. Guys here could probably be charging a mere $50 off the autoanything-discount-price due to how many people here are always checking and willing to buy at any given time.
