Whoa what's with the name calling friend? Some people did. Also my point was that people tend to assume superchargers shorten engine life. I was just trying to illustrate for you that some Toyota engines are bullet proof. Such as the 22RE, 5VZFE and the 2UZFE

Toyota makes bullet proof engines? I was previously unaware of this.

i'm not your friend, bro. nobody bought a 6cyl unless it was reg cab for fleet. maybe that one retard "who only drives manual"

2UZ is a great motor, but it doesn't take boost without upgrading the internals. if anyone is gonna bother might as well just LS swap it instead. more power, less money

False. I'm an expert on on first gen tacomas and the differences between compact vs midsize vs full-size.

You're the one that was hung up on the flares. I just tried to get you to play ball with the other trucks too

Since I own a first gen 2003 Tundra Access Cab and a second gen Tacoma Double Cab I can provide some visual differences:
The wheelbase is almost the same. In these photos the tires front and rear are lined up. There's less than an inch difference.
The Tundra is a little wider.
    15769299467_6b8208f2b4.jpg
The Tundra is a little longer to the front
    15769301627_b3a31a9da9.jpg
And just little longer to the rear
    15767749290_a77462d6a4.jpg
The Tacoma has a better approach angle
    15769302977_26aeb4a88c.jpg
Ground clearance is similar, but the Tundra exhaust cross over is better positioned
    15929244066_c8a16e04eb.jpg
    15767748010_91fc8562bd.jpg

The Tacoma here is a Baja so it's sitting on a 1.5? Inch lift on 31 (265/70/16) tires
The Tundra is on a 1.5" lift and running 33" (285/75/16) tires. Trimming had to be done for those tires. The pinch weld is flattened and the front bumper and flare is trimmed. There is no cab mount in the way unless you go to bigger tires.

    Things I've noticed:
The Tundra is quieter on the road, even with more aggressive tires.
The Tacoma gets better gas mileage by about 1.5 mpg mixed daily driving
The Tundra still has better range due to the bigger gas tank (26.2 gallon vs 21.1)
They both tow my 3500lb teardrop easily. The Tacoma's lack of low end torque (266 lbft vs 325 lbgt) is offset by the lower first gear in its five speed automatic (this year tundra has a 4 speed auto)

Of course this information goes out the window if you're looking at a 2005-2006 Tundra, which gets 40 more hp (270 vs 230) and a 5 speed automatic

And the visuals go out the window if you're looking at a double cab Tundra which is longer and wider than the access cab.

Oh, and my Tundra was my first new truck purchased in Sept 2002, it now has 276,500 miles on it. I've gone through 5 sets of tires, 3 sets of ball joints, 2 timing belts, 1 radiator, and 1 power steering rack.

Sorry, I was distracted while at work. Couldn’t focus full time on the stupid.

Little flares make little difference. Big bubble flares make big difference.

    Again. See You Next Tuesday.

Can I add that the width difference is of no concern, both of my trucks have scratches down the sides. National Forests like to hug any truck wider than a mini truck.

I don't wheel, I just go camping in the woods. The teardrop is scratched down both sides too....

Again the specs I was intending to discuss stressed the dimensions of the truck body, meaning the cab, bed, hood etc; not the flares. Those are just accessories and can come off without affecting the truck or the driver.
That was your hill to die for. Not mine.
Mines just that the T100, although intended as Toyotas first full-size truck and a failure at that, was actually a midsize truck, ahead of it's time. And thus the 2nd and turd gen tacomas are actually descendants of the T100. But Toyota would never use that failure badging again so they stole the name Tacoma from the respected compact since it hadn't been called Tacoma but for less than a decade and it was a trusted name.

I like mine. Biggest concern is the frame needs a little more care than most vehicles.
