You have the bumper I want, but minus the hoops

They're currently not for sale, but I'll keep you in mind.
That's a nice set up, my Tundra has spent many week long vacations out on CALO. What beach are you on there?

I liked my '05 Stepside 4WD Limited (Access Cab). Smooth truck, no driveline vibes. Triple door seals, quiet cab. The Tundra had better stock ground clearance than the '12 Tacoma, and 49" between the wheelwells. Yeah, a tad wider than the '12 Taco, wider turning circle (maybe 4 feet?).

The Access Cabs had a real rear seat, 60/40 split bench with actual modern upholstery. Nice features like power rear slider, AC ducted through the center console into the rear seat.

I liked the tall side windows and tall windshield, mine had the Eaton clutch-type rear LSD, that was helpful offroad. Rear end was twitchy stock with the steel bed and the same weak rear leafs as the Taco. I added a Hellwig rear sway bar and Hellwig helper springs.

Heavy bugger, I weighed it at 4900lbs vs 4500lbs for the '12 AC Taco V6 4WD.

Same frustrating front differential as all Toyotas since like 1964. Well built truck from the defunct TMMI plant, but the same godawful frame rust issues as other Toy trucks.

Pretty much the same suspension layout as a Taco, spindles, springs, control arms, same tools, same techniques to do suspension work.

One thing I've noticed is how easy it is to replace the steering rack bushings on the GenI Tundra, easy job, rack stays in the truck, no lines disconnected, simple remove/replace the bushings, two hour job. Taco or 4Runner, no.

Smooth truck but no special OffRoad edition, no factory inverter, no A-Trac. There was an OffRoad edition but that was just Bilstein 4600's and a sticker.

Liked the column shifter also, freed up console area for this and that.

Buddy of mine just picked up a 2000 Tundra with 103k miles on it. Looks to be in impeccable shape. Going to see it in person later this week. He's excited that he got it for 7k. Says the interior is perfect. Best I can figure is an old man had it or just somebody who knows how to take care of their vehicles. Aside from the trim up front being messed up...
