    How did you feel the mounting system for the rack? You think retrax rail would hold ? I'm so close on pulling the trigger on this since is the best option to secure some things, hay thins taller than the bed and have a rack and a tent at the same time.

    I’ve thought about this too. I’m considering using different TBolts for my Yakima rack that are longer so it grabs more of the track on the bed cover rail. Based on the photos it doesn’t look like much. But it does give specified torquing so you don’t over tighten and end up bending the rail

    I've been told by my local shop that retrax isn't great if you have trees around, or aren't garage keeping the truck in the winter. Anyone have any issues with theirs?

    Considering one as well, but was thinking the same about winter temps below freezing for extended periods of time and how well the system would function.
    Any feedback would be appreciated.

    Feels solid enough for using an RTT based on my opinion/assembling it.

    I ordered my Retrax Pro XR exactly 2 months ago yesterday, Upon arrival, box was opened, canister shown to be dented and punctured from shipping process. Hardware are missing, I cannot install it even if I wanted to. You guys got lucky with the shipping, I am just waiting on what seller can do for me.

    I bought my truck used at a gmc dealership about 2 years ago. I broke the canister when loading a kayak and over tightening. I emailed retrax and said I broke something. They asked for the serial number and shipped me a brand new canister for free. No questions asked. They have great customer service from my experience!

    @AMGTRDPRO
    I tried to attach but unsure if it worked or not, but here is a link to the install instructions, Tacomas can be found on page 20-23
    I do know that Retrax does utilize the Deck rail system, while it does limit the use of the Deck rail system it does not fully eliminate it

    We offer forum special pricing on all Retrax products. While we try to keep these in stock for quick shipping, as I'm sure most of you are aware this hasn't been the easiest task to achieve. with most Retrax covers taking about 5-7 weeks to ship out as they as built to order, I have seen some shipping sooner than predicted but cannot guarantee that.

    Anyone can reach out to @Santana@Realtruck or me to get quoted on these forum specials. I hope this helped and looking forward to hearing from anyone even if it is just with questions

    I've been looking at the Retrax systems to run with a rack and iKamper 3.0, but this has me concerned. Never really thought about the bed cover being the weak link.

    I know this is an old post, but did you ever end up doing this? If so, any pics you can provide?
