I work with a guy who is set on buying a 2016 SXT Challenger. Anyone have any experience with them? Good, bad, ugly? I know it's not a Toyota, wondering how Dodge is myself these days. I don't know anyone with one.

Yeah I know a few but none with the v6 which is the SXT. I know the v6 is a great engine from when I test drove some wranglers and haven't heard of any issues but the tried and true 5.7 is the way I'd go since it's available.

One of our supervisors has been driving a fleet Charger V8 Hemi since 2006. He reports it's been trouble free. Still runs strong. Didn't ask about mileage; I'm gonna guess it has just over 100K.

A friend of mine has (I think) an '08 SRT. Never sees the rain let alone snow and has about 14k miles on it. No issues at all just hard wiping the grin off his face after driving it...

I havnt got any experience with the sxt v6.
If your buddy like the v6, then i say go for it but if hes buying it for the mpg he may as well get a 5.7 liter v8. The difference in mpg is pretty negligable and theres a whole lot more bang for the buck.

I currently drive an SRT powered "2016" shaker hood challenger. Even the gas miliage for it (6.4 liters) is pretty decent at 15 city and almost 25 hwy.

Only had one small issue so far since it arrive new in march. It was a seat back spring which the dealer immediatly replace under warrenty.

One of my coworkers just installed a super charger on his. It sounds awesome. Haven't had a chance to ride in it. I'm sure it screams.

There is no mistaking that it is super charged.

My 2012 R/T went back to the dealer for warranty work 5 times within the first 30K miles...

It was quick, nimble and a very comfortable ride...but the quality of overall product didn't impress me...

I was driving it a lot harder than most people will though

I prefer the E-body Challengers and Cudas. They do look like a blast to drive though.
