Did my 300 BLK in a GAP camo copy yesterday. Anyone else have photos of their work?

Nice job. I've done it before but I don't have any digital pics. You did good!

I've never painted any of my guns before but I polished my front and rear pistol griped Mossberg 500, with the expection of the actual reciever. Took a long time due to the machining grooves in the barrel and mag tube.

I polished the slides, 18" barrel, mag tube, take down screw. All look chrome'ish now. After 15 years, I got tired of looking at it being black. If I get tired of looking at it shiny, then I will put it back to black. I don't care that I ruined any resale value, as it was a cheap gun to begin with and I'll never get rid of it anyway. It's just an ongoing project gun/toy. In a few years it might look like something totally different again.

I will see if I can find a pic of it.

    EDIT

I found pics of it but it has the old Hogue rubber grip up front and not the pistol grip, so I will take a new pic later.

Thanks - I used the 3 colors of Krylon's Fusion Camo spraypaint, some blue painter's tape, an exacto knife and about 5 coats of flat clear.

16". More is a waste when you're wanting to send a 220 gr SMK downrange just under the speed of sound.

Nice job. Is it possible to do that when the stock is knurled or textured or what ever it is.

Sure, as long as you can mold the tape well enough to get a clean edge. The Bell & Carlson stock has a light texture and it worked great.

It'll look more balanced after it has an extra foot of steel screwed onto the end.

Question: Is the stock synthetic or wood? I have a Remington 700 VTR with a green stock. I would like to camo mine but wonder if the paint would stick. Great job BTW.

It's a Bell & Carlson light tactical fiberglass stock.

Here's my contribution. This is a Savage 110 30.06 that I painted in a digital desert camo pattern. You don't even want to know how many hours I have in the paint job or how bad my fingers hurt after cutting out patterns w/ a razor blade for 3 days straight. I did a how-to writeup on it that I could post here if anyone is interested, but it's rather long...so I won't bother unless someone asks. Just wanted to show off the final product.

Sorry the pics aren't very good.

That looks great man! I think if I took the time to do a digicam finish I would have to put it behind glass and never touch it for fear of a scratch ;) Great work!

Thanks - should have approved paperwork in another month for the can. I'll have to look into the wrap. Good idea!

I have heard of matching the drapes with the carpet but matching the gun with the couch, genius! Very nice paint jobs both of you.
