I lean toward "definate attending status." I'll click on the poll once I can come up with a definate answer. But I need to sit down and look at a calaender in January and firm up all my vacation plans for the year to make sure.

jhodge, do you know or could you check into if this one big site will accomidate a 21 foot travel trailer or if I will need to rough it in a tent?

    thanks

from the pics on the website for them, the site looks like a pretty descent open area. they say the site will accomidate 15-35 people/gear, so i'd think a trailer would be ok. i'll be passing by there the weekend of 12-13 january to go to drill, so i'll stop by and talk to the people at the rangers station and make sure it'll fit

Yeah, I want to, but I got 2 young kids that don't like getting tossed around while wheeling, my wife and I both work and would need to miss some work to make that long ass drive.........we'll just have to see how things are going closer to meet time.

Sorry jhodge for cluttering up your thread.

Anyone care to enlighten the rest of us about this bit of Carolina "culture"? When I think of Carolina Cup, the first thing that comes to mind is a moonshine drinkin' contest. Or would that be the Carolina Jug? Is it perhaps made more difficult and embarrassing by using a piece of baseball safety equipment? Or Dixie Cups (the south shall rise again!)?

    Enquiring minds what to know.

carolina cup is a horse race, i do believe....theres one like it down in elloree, sc down near where i've been hunting. not sure how it is at the carolina cup, but at elloree its drunk rednecks w/ their trucks backed up to the track BSing and not even watching the races....and i think the carolina cup is in camden...my mom lives there.

I was in Camden a little over a year ago (to bury my wife's grandmother) and I didn't notice any horse track. My wife still got some kin living there.
