    Sorry guys,

Officially at this point I am not going to make it this time. I got hit with a cold/flu thing a few weeks back that cost me all of the extra personal days I had saved and was planning to use to make this a viable trip (couple days before or after the meet to visit with the sister in law) I can't justify the drive just for the weekend.

    Next time.

    sorry

Dammit! that sucks Mav! i was looking forward to meeting one of my northern affiliates.

As far as weather, i dont mind a little sprinkle but i'm not camping in a downpour. i've done it before and its miserable. and i cant imagine offroading in one and being soaked to the bone every time you have to get out and having to keep the windows up. hopefully the weather will be good. otherwise i'm blaming tcBob and i'll demand a refund.

Yeah... That's what I was looking at... lol $200+ just for gas and 12 hours of driving. Or 10 or 2 days.... Google maps said 650 miles, 12 hours or so. MS Streets & Trips said 770 miles, 2 days, a few hours and some minutes. After tweaking the route some (it had me heading north, making a big ass U turn, then going back south for some fucked up reason adding 90+ miles to the route) I got it down under 600 miles and around 10 hours drive time.

Hey Mike, maybe we could tow one of the trucks and split gas!

There is that.... Is Mav married? We figured we could get rid of the kids, but that would leave the 2 of us, CJ and his wife, and Mav.

Sorry guys, I'm married too, and there's just no way 6 of us are going to fit in a double cab. :( But thank's for thinking of me.

So you couldn't afford to move to greenville but you can live in New York?

    Easy answer, leave the wives

seriously guys, what is up with bringing your better halves along? just tell them this is a Man trip and Mav, Jedi and Tiger all pile into a DC and come on down. gas split 3 ways isnt bad

I have family in NY so I crashed with them for a few months until things go sorted out. I was financially drained so I couldn't afford to rent a U-Haul, move to another city, and put down 1st month's rent/security deposit without a job lined up.

    tempting.... very tempting...

you must be sober today! This actually makes sense! :D

Guess that means my truck... lol Jedi and I are the DC's and only my bed is covered for gear.

I'm bringing the gf along but may not be bringing zilla :( working and working on it but deadline is sneaking up lol ... not a whole lot left to do but by myself it just takes so damn long to route wires move the motor forward 6 inches, make the body mounts, mount radiator, modify the bumpers, move battery to the bed, wire the dash, install a shifter, have driveshaft made ($$$$) route all the exhaust pipes, you know the small stuff...most of it is done but now its like all the small stuff is adding up...brakelines is what I've been up to lately
