We had the biggest German Sheppard come in a few weeks back. Like 100+ lbs. Through night vision it was tough to distinguish but once it started walking we knew lol that was a scary one. We were hunting that East Coast Coyote tournament that night.

Yeah it was worth not pulling the trigger even though I knew it was a dog. I kick myself in the ass now that I know it was a coyote but there is always another day.

Nice yote man! I love it when I hear other people getting into predator hunting. It's like a drug to me now. About to take a ride around where I live and ask a bunch of farmers. I feel like farmers wouldn't care as much with predators as asking for deer hunting permission. Every farmer or landowner you ask for deer hunting permission always says no 9/10 times.

No sir. I've really liked it and want to get more into it. I go at night usually using a red or green light. That has worked but hasn't worked well..

When we first started we used the red wicked lights to scan and one on the gun. We soon figured out that a fox or bobcat could care less about scanning with a red light but the coyotes would never come in. Maybe the coyote were a little educated but I don't know.I personally think and know plenty of well known coyote hunter that use night vision or thermal for scanning and the red light to shoot. They said the red light through the scope was clearer when shooting to them so they sold there expensive night vision.

I think when I get out of school and have more money to spend I'll be a little better off. Thanks for the advice! I always like hearing different opinions on things.

How much can you get for them out west? Here in the east you don't get much for them.

They stink too much for me to mess around with them...I tried to salt dry one a few years ago, I couldnt get the stink out of it and it was too humid in the winter to dry it. I ended up tossing it..

Mostly hog control, but we do shoot yotes and bobcats when we come across them.
