maybe for survival. I boiled a skull and it stunk. I couldnt imagine enough spices would cover that up. If you dont mess it up the skin can be sold but they are only worth something in the winter before they rub off their fur. and you can keep the skull/boil/bleach it.

Bear hunt should start to pick up soon, took the last couple weekends of May off to hopefully find another pumpkin head.

Hopefully the 630 mile round trip is worth it, it’s always worth it though so that’s good

I had a weird encounter this weekend with a coyote. I was sitting on the frame of a box truck that is to be finished in a field overlooking a pasture around 2:30am. Our cattle was was around 12oclock and 4 deer were about 4-5 oclock from me with a access road in front of me. I was calling for about 10 mins when I heard something to my right running in the gravel, I thought it was the deer hoping back across, they were grunting at me for a good bit. It got closer and closer over a 5 second span until it was in front of me, I look down and there is a coyote staring right back at me at around 5-10yards, he spooks and runs around 20 yards into some thick tree cover, I slung one shot at whatever bit of white I could see on the scope. Pretty bummed this one got away but it'll be one to remember, ill come back for this one in a few weeks.

was there something to the right of the coyote you shot? It looks like something was there right before it came out.

They just started doing that, I talked to the guy that has that field and its within a week. That pack was in my back yard the night before.

and yeah I think it was a pup, while I was in the field looking for that dog something ran from me that was really small. I didnt see it until I saw a replay.

Ive got a few packs around me but its technically illegal to spotlight with big game nearby...No one prob would say anything, I just dont want to take a chance. Any that do come in range during the day get shot at here.

Would red lights still be considered spot lighting big game? If night hunting is allowed in youre state I wouldnt see the issue with it.

Not sure. Last I read it said night hunting is legal only if theres no big game around...which is everywhere in the state...LOL

Ah ok. My buddy has the 233. It’s a dang good scope for the money. I want the 536 but my wife might have a stroke if it were to show up lol
