So excited for Toyota to debute the 3rd Gen Tundra at the Chicago Auto show Feb 7th i think. Im still keeping my tacoma just want to see what direction toyota trucks are taking. I almost considered a Tundra but it was to big and I dont have anything to tow that requires a fullsize

I hope it looks less like a Dodge this time:D and hopefully has a diesel in it finally. At the rate I am building my taco I will likely need a tow rig in a few years and would like to see a Toy towing a Toy, but diesels are much better options for towing.

I did not know Toyota was introducing the 2014 Tacoma at the Chicago Auto Show. I have seen trends that it will come on line with the Hilux, also may have a 3.5 lt 260hp and better MPG's but cannot find facts on that. I live in the northern burbs of Chicago and if the 2014 Tacoma is introduced I will go to the show to see it.

Nice truck. looks like mine. Mine 2012 silver 4dr, 4x4 TRD tow-package (stock). I plan on AAL and 1 inch lift in the front and TRD or larger exhaust this summer. I just want to be able to haul more weight in the back W/O sage, hope the AAL fixes it at a cheap price.

Nope. but for me I have no need for that much truck. Tacoma can tow what I need it to. Small for trails. Fits in Garage. And it is like sitting in a car while being in a truck.

Owned a full size GMC dbl cab before, had to fold in the mirrors to get it in the garage and couldn't walk around it while parked in there. First time Tacoma owner and I am really happy. Love the size for driving around town, goes over the mountain passes with ease, and fun on the trails.

Nope - enjoy the mid size Tacoma I have. I borrowed my family's new full size 150 last year for about a month. Thought I really wanted a F150 FX4 crewcab....yeah, nice but, that thing was always too big for everywhere I drove and I didn't really need all of that truck. I can do everything I need to with a midsize and it fits in the garage with room to move around. The Tacoma is more than capable of doing the light duty hauling/towing work I give it, and if it doesn't fit in the bed....say a few cubic yards of mulch, I take loan of the family utility trailer. With that said, I do sometime miss the more luxury amenities such as TPMS that gives tire pressure of each wheel, not just a low warning light, simple MPG, Miles to Empty numbers, heated seats, moon roof, and so on. I just drive the old lady's car if I need to be pampered.

I don't need a full size truck so the Tacoma is perfect for me. I actually wish it was smaller.

My boss is a former Tacoma guy, now he has a Tundra and everytime he sees my Tacoma he fawns over it and say's he's jealous.

Didn't want a Tundra. Like most have said, too big to be a vehicle that makes sense for me.

The Tundra is nice but just WAY TOO BIG for my needs. The Tacoma does everything I need and then some. And as said above, a Tundra wouldn't fit in my garage.

Had a 2009 Tundra and traded it on my 2012 Tacoma and never looked back. The Tundra was a beast with the 5.7, but MPG's were not that good. I just love the feel and look of the 2012 Tacoma, plus the lighter truck is great for beach driving and all round offroading, and still have enough umph to pull my DJ trailer.

i really like my tacoma.but knowing what i know now, mileage wise and such i do kinda wished i had got a tundra.mileage was a huge factor and i think the tacoma will be trouble free longer with less upkeep.

I kinda do.... but the $$$ wasnt available at the time. My taco does me just fine. My next truck will prolly be a tundra.... but until then i am perfectly content and there is no need to trade it in.

I think I did look at almost every P/U on the market, I was very keen on the F150 at first and didn't consider the Tundra much, then I decided to move down a size and started looking, I felt the Taco was best in class and offered many things others didn't, this despite we knowing the new one is coming soon, in the end it was a matter of size and I got the Taco, otherwise I would have gotten the F150 because the Tundra offers a nice outside line and good drivetrain yet the interior was poorly designed IMO.

My best friend traded his '06 Tacoma 4WD DCSB for a '12 Tundra Platinum. I traded my '06 Tacoma Prerunner AC for a '13 Tacoma 4WD DCSB.

Zero regrets on both sides. Creature comfort wise, the Tundra is phenomenal and more accomodatng if you constantly have rear passengers -- which we both don't.

I've never once said or thought I wish I got a Tundra. He says all the time he misses having a Tacoma for the jump-in-and-go feel and >13mpg.

I had an 09 Tundra and I got rid of it and went back to the Tacoma. I lifted that tundra and was getting 10-12 MPG all day not towing anything so Im glad I have a Tacoma back.
