I would think the SR5 stock shocks would probably ride smoother than the Bilstien on the highway.

I dont know honestly. The trd suspension is better than the sport in my opinion, but like I said before, If I had bought an sr5, Id have just ripped out the suspension like I did on the trd offroad. I bought the truck knowing I was gonna do this, but not knowing that Id want to regear and have air lockers

I paid 34K for mine, but that was the cheapest I found. I thought 34K was average price for the SR5 4x4?

I got to be honest people on here have even got better deals then I could imagine. Just comes down to patience and research. Maybe even fly out of state.

I mean you are comparing your 19 SR5 with 16-17 TRD package prices. Prices went up with the additions of TSS, you have a rear sliding window unlike the earlier SR5s, etc... Different additions in later years, different geographical locations... all equal different price points.

I had a 16 SR5 4x4, it was a great truck, but the early SR5s were really basic. Not much more than the SRs, I decided to trade it up to a TRD OR, and I’m happy with the deal I walked away with. It wasn’t easy, and took all day to keep renegotiating it, but I drove home in a TRD OR.

I just purchased a 19 OR to replace my 16 OR. The dealer has sr5 the same price as OR so it was a no brainer. 35k out the door for a manual MGM DC OR. I wanted the locker, nicer nav screen, black flares, Wheels, and what not. I am replacing the suspension with 6112/ 5160s later this month.

The bilstein shocks on the ORs are too soft, brake dive is insane. The Hitachis on the SR5s are ok, but when throw any weight on them- they can’t handle it. The TRD sport shocks are too stiff, they are like a lowered Honda Civic. You almost need to upgrade the suspension on these trucks.

The suspension is to soft. Rode my buds SR5 and it was a nicer ride between and OR and sport. I wonder how my 6112s/5160s will ride. Have medium duty springs for all the weight that will be in the rear

I would have gladly gotten an SR5 , but this was my 4th and I am old and now need a sunroof and leather. Check out Costco car buying.

I only regret that I should have gotten 4 wheel drive on my 92 truck - it didn't even come with ac, radio or bumper. $7200 plus tax.
My 2002 was an extra cab -but still 2 wheel drive - 4 cyl...and superwhite....auto...
My 2012 was an SR5 V6, 4x4 Doublecab. Great solid truck. Linear 4.0. Slugged around.
The 3.5 liter is different but has more pep - or atleast it feels like it.
My next truck will be fullsize - but toyota needs to improve the motor with cylinder management like the others. I hate the thought that an F150 gets better MPG than my Taco.

    I have a deposit on a Rivian.

I'd only get a TRD if I wanted leather and the sunroof...

If I were to do it today, I'd just go ahead and get the OR. I'd pass on all other upper trims though. That being said, I haven't needed a locker. Tires go a long way, and I spent the money I saved on tires right away. Day to day, the OR has no advantage over the SR5 for me.

I paid $29,900 before TT&L, but that was before they integrated the "appearance package" into the base SR5 which bumped the price up almost $1300. My SR5 doesn't have fender flares or aluminum wheels. It does have some convenience features that didn't come on the SR which is the reason I bought it over the SR.

I'd also look at the current SR and probably an access cab truck. I saw a long bed DC the other day and thought that thing looked like a limo even though it's only a little longer than the SWB trucks.

I'm in Vegas and I know someone. I paid 37 i think plus tax and shit. I have a long bed and it's cement though. When those were a really rare thing. The first one someone offered 4k over msrp so of course they sold it to him. So I paid for mine while it was being built. It was 4k under msrp. I didn't get the leather heated seats on the second one but who needs that in vegas.
