Yea I love that colour. I frequently find my inferno is the loudest colour in the parking lot.

Have a base model 07 and hate looking at the silver because my previous truck was silver.Very limited color choice for base model regular cab trucks.

Quicksand is the best head turning yet not-too-loud color. Easy to pick out in a crowd.

I should have got something other than black. So hard to keep clean/looking good.

I have had White, Red, MGM, & Silver Toyota pickups ... got silver this time because the color goes well with the silver stock steel wheels & black tires on a AC/LB SR5.

The silver on a SR5 (with stock steel wheels) does not look so much like a work truck to me.

Silver is easy to keep clean and the paint patina and micro-swirls don't show up as much either.

A black truck is beautiful when polished out to perfection ... never tried blue yet.

My favorite looking truck was a DC/SB TRD OR 4x4 in Barcelona Red  ... that was my best looking Tacoma ... and easiest to see by others to possibly avoid an accident.

I drive a 2nd gen, but even though the 3rd gens have some new colors available, a lot of the colors look the same to me. I'm satisfied with my silver Taco.

My dad got me my Taco when I finally got my learner's permit back in August 2009. After a lot of research, my dad and I narrowed our choice down to the Toyota Tacoma and the Ford Ranger. The specific Ranger my dad almost bought was a brand new fully loaded red 2009 XLT regular cab short bed 2WD, a special order that someone had decided they didn't want. One Sunday in September 2009, my dad and I went to a Peruzzi Toyota (cars dealers in PA are closed on Sunday) and they had a base model white regular cab on the lot with the doors unlocked.

After sitting in the white Tacoma, my dad and I liked the Tacoma better than the Ranger in terms of interior fit and finish, interior size/space, and safety features. I liked the way the Ranger looked compared to the white Tacoma, but the Tacoma is the better truck.

I wanted my dad to buy the white one (I forget whether it was a 2009 or 2010 model), but when we came back to that dealership on a Wednesday night (September 30, 2009) several days after first seeing the white one, it had been sold. The only two Tacomas on the lot that my dad considered were a fully loaded red SR5 extra cab 2WD and a silver base model regular cab 2WD, parked right next to each other. The red SR5 was about $5,000 more than the silver regular cab. The silver one met all of our needs, so a deal was reached and we took her home that night. By the way, the sticker price on truck was almost $18,000. After the money my dad got for the old Pathfinder he traded in, and a lot of negotiating, the final selling price for a brand new Tacoma 2.7L automatic regular cab 2WD was about $14,900.

Do I think the color of my truck is kinda boring? Yeah. Do I regret choosing that color? I didn't really have a choice since it was the only truck on the lot configured the way we wanted and the price was right, but looking bad on it I am glad my dad didn't come back a few days before and buy the white one.

The verdict is that I love the color of my truck, and the black trim and black wheels really go well with it. I do regret one thing, however...

Make sure the Tacoma you are buying has intermittent wipers before you finalize the deal and drive it off the lot!

I put money down on a 6MT OR in QS which is what I originally wanted from the get go, but barcelona red is really clawing at me lately.

Yes & No....I love the Inferno, and because it is garaged it isn't too bad to keep up. Cops see it from a mile away, and it stands out. I've always bought boring colors that don't show the dirt we have up here in the mountains and pretty much blend in to traffic. With all the issues they had matching the shell, it will be a PITA if it ever has any issue that require body work / paint as it is a tough color to match. My choices were Inferno or White. White would be much easier to maintain, but I do love the Inferno color. As others have stated, I really like the look of a detailed Black truck, but would never own one as it would always look dirty!

...^^^... Go Barcelona RED ... it will really grow on you after you get it ...

If I would have gotten another TRD OR 4x4 ... it would have been Barcelona Red.

Just keep the water spots off of it as much as possible and garage it if possible and it will stay looking new for a long time.
