I have read all the posts, and 99% of them are 4wd trucks. I'd like to know if this tire size would rub on a 2wd truck. Thank you all in advance for your input.

I don’t see how they would rub on a 2 wheel drive truck if they don’t on a 4x4 truck, if everything else is the same.

I’ve been running that size for years but my truck is 4x4 and slightly lifted so I can’t speak from personal experience.

My thoughts as well but I thought I would get an opinion before I spent a chunk on tires. Thank you for the input.

Well most of the time my 4WD truck is a 2WD truck . . . so there is that. I don't see why it would matter unless the suspension is that much different between the 4WD and the 2WD.

There’s no difference across all trims in regard to tire fitment.

Thank you all. My truck has the stock suspension, and I wanted a little taller look and more ground clearance. It's on-road about 90% of the time. Now to choose a tire.

Oh man ! everybody has their favorite tire (the best tire is usually the tire the poster is running) or they hate a tire that somebody else thinks is the best tire in the world. Good luck with tire recommendations.

I have looked at the Yokohama Geolandar H/T and the Falken Wildpeak as well.

As others have commented they should fit fine. To give direct confirmation, Orkin pest control around me uses Tacomas for their service vehicles, all SR and 2WD. I noticed that the regular exterminator who services our house had that size on his truck and I asked about how they fit before I got that size for my truck. He confirmed that they did not rub at full lock, etc. Same as on my off road. Go for it, see the tire forum for opinions on everyone’s favorite tire.

I had good luck with the Wildpeaks. 265/75-16. I’m replacing them because mine are 5 years old and there is some cracks between the lugs now.
