Just ordered a set of 285/75/16 Yokohama Geolandar MT tires and I looked up the specs on the 16" Tacoma TRD rims, and they're 7" wide.
It is recommended that the rim should be 7.5"-9".
How screwed am I, does size really matter?
Not sure i can cancel the tires, also is anyone with a newer TRD Pro running 33's and will a 1.5" Westcott lift be enough for them not to rub?

They fit, but it's pushing it on a 7" wheel. Others have done it, you'll have sidewall bulge. 99% chance you'll rub.

Lift has little to do with rubbing. There are tons of 285/75R16 users here. You will most likely rub the UCA. If you put a spacer on, you will most likely rub the cab mount. Has nothing to do with lift but with tire width.

I'm able to stick my entire hand between the UCA and the 265/70/16 tire.
285/75/16 should only be 20 mm (3/4") wider so 3/8" on each side of the tire on the +1" i now have.
Id hate to lose the rims, and have to get new ones, but, if 8 do, what offset should I get?

I’m running 275/70R18 and have stock limited wheels which are supposedly 0 offset. And I ever so slightly rub the UCA at full lock but have over an inch from the cab mount. That’s at 3.5 degrees positive caster. I tried 1/2” spacers and that was absolutely perfect. I could have ran 285’s easy but I’m not a fan of spacers. That’s about all the info I can give. Maybe -12 and 285’s?

Limited stock 18" wheels are +30 offset, same as sport stock wheels, offroads are +25. This is right off Toyota spec sheet.

My pro wheels are +5 and no rubbing with 33s. I have not lifted yet but basically all I needed to do was get a proper alignment and tie back a little of the wheel well. I may be wrong, but I thought all pro wheels are 7 inch and Beadlocks are 7.5.

    Pro wheels on the 4Runner (17" ) are 7.5".
I have them now on my 4Runner, and used them without issues on my 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport

What size rims/tires are you running and what trim/ year truck?
I'm inquiring for my 2023 Tacoma TRD PRO, someone also mentioned that the USA are different on the 23 PRO than the previous years..
